Congratulations on your very first tutorial on RU-vid!! I've been stalking you on fb and Instagram 😊 I'm a big fan and admire your beautiful blankets. For the first time,I think I could try the gorgeous African Flower. Thank you 🌸
Been a fan of yours on Instagram for years! Was very excited that you have joined RU-vid! I have never seen a starting round done this way and will have to give it a try! Also, would love to see you do a tutorial on the join as you go method using this hexagon. Thank you Faye for this nice, clear video! 👌
I have been crocheting for about two months and have just managed to make my first African flower following your tutorial. So easy to follow and the centre is so much easier than a magic ring which I do not seem to be able to get the hang of!
Thank you so much for your informative tutorial. So easy to follow. I am converted to how to start crochet in the rounds after viewing your tutorial. Looking out for your future tutorials. Thank you Faye.
So happy to see you doing this - have followed you on Insta for a long time and LOVE your crochet. I've been thinking of doing one of these for a while and seeing this has sealed the deal - THANK YOU so much for doing this Faye!!!!
Fantastic first video Faye!! I haven’t got a clue with crochet but I found your video so relaxing watch and I actually think I could make an African flower now, great tutorial, very easy to follow xx
I love this tutorial and you have inspired me to start an African flower project. Do you have a PDF pattern that I can purchase? I looked at your Etsy shop and didn’t see one.
What a fabulous way to make a centre, definitely going to try this 👍🏻 And at last someone who crochets the same way as me, when my nanna taught me to crochet when I was about five she desperately tried to stop me from wrapping the yarn round but that was the only way I could do it and thats how I’ve done it ever since. It might not look right to some but it works for me ❤❤
I love this! I don't mind doing the magic circle but this chain start is so much easier. I also hold my yarn as you do, did you learn very young? I believe I hold it like this as I started with very small hands. Thank you for this video, its great!
I’ve never seen anyone crochet like you do. Using your left hand to put the yarn over your hook, it looks awkward to me. Beautiful blanket, I love African flowers.
