Hi Debbie! It is wonderful to be able to help by making these blankets. My heart goes out to the children (and to their families). How wonderful that they can enjoy camp. And then bring home their blanket as a happy reminder of their time at Boggy Creek Camp.
Love mystery bags. Since we won't know which ones will be in the giftaway, it would be great to see the yarns. Love all your makes including your top. Have a great week.
Hi Judy! Thank you so much. :-) .... This month, all of a sudden, I have this burst of crochet/knitting energy. Where it came from, I have no idea. LOL
You have been busy Cathy; so many lovely FO. The texture on that baby blanket is lovely and the top you are wearing is beautiful. I vote to see the yarn. It would be fun to see what you got in the mystery bag.
I seem to always be on the hunt for textured stitches... especially when I am making blankets. Thank you so much for complementing my top. (It is called the Sweetpea top.)
Hi Mary! There were so many tutorials for the virus shawl. If you find another pretty variation of the virus shawl, please let me know -- I'd like to make another shawl in the future.
Hi Cathy. Everything looked beautiful, you’ve been busy. Love the colour combo of the blanket using the cabbage coloured yarn. Very retro pretty, my favourite ❤ Oh, and I vote “ show me the yarn!”😂. I’m an old school snooper. I’ve been waiting since the first of July for my Aberdeen bags so I can enjoy through you😂
Hi Tami! It took me a while to find a pattern that I liked with the Cinnamon Swirl yarn -- many frogging attempts. LOL So happy (relieved really) that I found the Moss Stitch In A Square. (My Aberdeen order was from first of July too.)
Thank you so much! The virus shawl was a lot of fun to make... Usually I don't have three blankets on the go at one time. This month, I found all this extra energy. LOL
I really like the moss stitch blanket pattern too. And once I got it started, I can visit with people/watch a movie while I'm working on it. (Pretty sure that I'll be making more of these... Maybe this pattern will be a good one for using my scraps.)
At the moment, the Advent box is on my rolly cart, right beside me.... I'm going to have to move the temptation much further away... or I'll never last. LOL
I agree with cdma7sss, since we don’t know which will be included, it would be fun to see them. Especially for those of us who don’t win. Personally, I would forget the yarn anyway and it would still be a surprise 😄. I love that last blanket!
This stitch is addictive! It is so relaxing to do. And the way the moss stitch blends the colour-changes in the yarn is so fun to see. I'm loving it too!
What a lovely top you are wearing - I wish In was that talented and able to crochet such a top - happy Friday - gosh I like to see the mystery bags but i think it might compromise the prize - I can't decide ...actually I vote to see the yarn
Good Day! Thank you so much for commenting about my top. (I don't see a tutorial about the Sweetpea top that I am wearing. The pattern is very well written. There is a free one available or a paid version on Ravelry. It uses simple stitches, but the yarn called for is a bit of a challenge as it is slippery to work with.)
You could show the yarn and not tell us which ones will make it into the giveaway. Awe that's so cool. That was my name! I'm so honored to name your kitty. Your virus shawl is lovely. Love all the teal in your blanket.
Thank you so much for joining in the fun and suggesting a name for the lovely Miss Sassy Sassafras. I've been having such fun crocheting and knitting... and was really surprised that the virus shawl only required one cake/480 yards in Caron Colorama Halo. Definitely going to make more of that pattern!
Hi Dimitra! Thank you for your comment. A quick question... Have you ever gone to Fiber Spirit Fest in Barrie? It's coming up on Aug 24th and I'm thinking about going...
Same here... It's about an hour and a half drive for Mr W & I. We'll hope to miss the early morning rush & show up a bit later in the day. It would be great if you & I see each other there. :-)
I really really liked working with the yarn. It is on sale at Mary Maxim, and I had to resist buying more. (Trying so hard not to buy, cause August is a "no buy" month. The struggle is real. LOL)
Thank you so much for your comment. :-) I forgot to mention pattern info for the top I'm wearing. It is called Sweetpea Top by Evelyn And Peter Crochet. It is available on Ravelry as a paid pattern, or free version is on her blog.
