I just happen to have some chunky chocolate brown wool. Now to find my foam wreath that I bought many years ago. Thanks fir the great and humorous tutorial.
I am so making one of these for Hanukkah! I’m gonna do a light blue as the base, and different shades of blue for the pom-poms, and I’ll add blue metallic dreidels and a Magen David on it. (I won’t be doing lights on it, though… don’t need those. It’s not for Christmas. I just like the heimisch kitschy look of this ‘wreath’. Everything homemade looks so nice!!! I’m not into the tinsel Hanukkah decorations in the stores, tinsel is for Christmas. These are something that could be made for any regular seasonal decoration, not necessarily holidays). Love this idea! Thanks for sharing this!!! 😊
Thank you Robin! Such a fabulous idea! (Hint: you could also hide the battery pack behind the Pom-poms. It would be easily accessible to change out the batteries and not interfere with the hanging device in the event it’s made with an invisible ring on the back.)
I've done the little curtain ring wreaths for small decorations, so definitely will try this size now I've seen yours. Since you made this video 3 years ago you can now but weather proof battery lights that have timers in too. 6 hours on, 18 hours off. They are perfect for these 🎄
Hello!! I am currently working on this wreath!! I love it. I found that instead of having to untwist the yarn in the front, you can just turn it over when your done. The backside doesn't twist. It might shave some time off the project. Thanks so much for all your amazing tutorials, please keep them coming!
Tried this just now. After you pull the yarn thru the centre hole, place the yarn under then loop it over the hook. This way, when you yarn over the hook and pull thru, the strands don't cross/twist on the front.
As always another fantastic tutorial and i do hope you didnt hurt yourself when you fell . Don't know what i would do without your friendly ,happy and honest tutorials💞💞💞
Beautiful and easy idea. Thank you for sharing. I can see endless possible ways to decorate this wreath and I guess I am headed back to Michaels today. : )
I love how this turned out! You made it look so easy thanks to your informative easy to follow presentation. I’m inspired by your talent. Thanks for teaching me something new. I make Craft videos too. I would love to learn more from each other.
Hey Robin, awesome tutorial. Very informative and also fun! I’m glad you included your mistakes to learn from but most of all your positive spirit and lovely style 😊 do have a styrofoam wreath, I’m now inspired to make one of these pretty wreaths! Happy holidays to you and yours ✨💫 🎄🎁
What is the length of the fairy lights? I have been trying to figure out an easy way to crochet around a wreath. So happy I have found this!! So many ideas for different holidays, birthdays, etc. Thank you!!!
Yes... I suppose xmas isnt so far away... I've got all my cards made up and written out... just have to remember not to post them JUST yet... lol 😉 Great idea 👍
I used a fraction over a ball for the small wreaths and nearly 2 balls for the larger ones - the yardage isn't great on the chunky yarns but you could always double up a couple of strands of finer weight yarn :-)
