Thank you for this. I was diagnosed last year at 34 years old. I'm currently in remission. 11 months post last chemo. December will be 1 year since my surgery that confirmed my cancer was gone. I was almost stage 3 with the most aggressive form of breast cancer
Nice! I’m a breast cancer survivor( 30 years cancer free). So I appreciate this! Im also a cervical cancer survivor(7 yrs out)! Life is BEAUTIFUL, Crystal….
I’m a survivor of Breast Cancer ♋️ 🩷Thank you Crystal for sharing this beautiful stitch and God Bless your beautiful heart and for all the survivors and to all who are fighting this horrible disease 🙏🏽Love you all🩷 I definitely want to make it, it’s such a beautiful stitch and has a special place in my heart🩷 after I had breast cancer my sister had breast cancer too. I’ve been a survivor since 2013 my sister has passed not from cancer she had a rare liver disease, but I want to make it in her memory. Again thank you Crystal and God Bless your beautiful heart 🙏🏽🩷
Thank you for this wonderful granny square. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer 4 years ago. Post chemotherapy and 3 operations I am still fighting and you have inspired me to restart my crocheting and I am living my life with wonderful creations to help me with my recovery ❤
Many prayers for you 🙏🏻 I know this has been a very trying time for you to say the least😪 I'm happy that you have not given up 🥰 I went through ovarian cancer/treatments and surgery with my mom. It's very scary. Happy to hear you are crocheting again 🤗
It is wonderful that you are highlighting this pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness month. I am sure that there are many women who will be grateful to have something (such as a warm afghan) to help them through difficult times. Just to acknowledge their circumstances will mean a lot.
This is very pretty. ❤ the clean and simple lines. A little shout out to all our 🍑 sisters … who don’t get as much exposure. Gynaecology cancers are on the rise and there is a link between gynaecology cancers which result in breast cancer. Blessings and prayers to all deal with these challenges daily. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🍁
I have Uterine Cancer and with this square in Peach, will keep me busy. I will make a few to giveaway to the other ladies in my group during treatment. Thank you, Crystal for all your continued creative efforts to keep crocheting fun, available for beginners like me and for future generations. God bless
Thank you for this beautiful breast cancer ribbon square. I have been making bauble pillows with names. Love this one as a breast cancer survivor myself 10 years out !! Thank you for your kind and beautiful soul Crystal and sharing your talent with all of us 💕
Oh this would be a beautiful start for a blanket with various cancer awareness ribbons…I better get started maybe I will donate for the cause. Thank you Crystal beautiful piece
Wow that is so pretty. I have 6 blankets all started. But this is for sure my next one I will start. I'm a chemo Angel and what a lovely gift this would make. I'm very larger supporter of anything cancer. I lost both my parents to cancer. My oldest brother is remission . I had my scare last year. But I dodged the bullet. Thank goodness. ❤❤❤
Crystal, I also lost an Aunt to breast cancer and have/had two co-worker survivors. 🎀 💗 💓 💕 Can't thank you enough for opening up your heart to all these various causes. With much respect...🙏 💕
Hi Crystal this is a great tutorial and design. I will make it for sure. My mom died in 1984 of breast cancer at 39 years old that metastasized . I miss her still. Thanks so much 💖👍🏽
Thank you for this beautiful pink ribbon square. It is probably the best awareness pattern I have seen. As a breast cancer survivor myself I am grateful for you compassion for others. I think you did a pink ribbon purse a few years back that I would love to try too.
Oh wow it came out very beautiful. It will look good in a blanket but making the squares all different colors. Thanks for sharing this tutorial with all of us. Take care and God bless you 👋.
A Thank you is not enough. I made this ribbon square in a day (phenomenal for me) and I’m actually proud of my work. It wouldn’t have happened without you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love this. I can't wait to make some wraps in different colors for people on the Cancer unit where I spent way too much time in myself. Thank you for this pattern, Crystal you are so awesome.
I didn't know that I have been waiting for this tutorial 😢. My sweet mom was 71, diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Feb 6 of this year and she passed Mar 17. My dad is 75 and has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer. He is happy to let this ugly disease take him. My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November last year. Many years of happiness. White for lung cancer and purple for Hodgkins Lymphoma will make a very beautiful blanket for me. Thank you!❤❤❤
I had breast cancer last year with success in removal. Lost 2 lymph nodes with it. I've been wanting to make this ribbon for myself and others fighting any kind of cancer. It changes you forever. The battle is always with you, forever in the back of your mind, wondering where it will pop up next! Thank you so much Crystal for your love of others. It is appreciated always! Xxx oooo . Sincerely Janey from NC
Thank you so much for this pattern. My friend was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of October and just recently had surgery. This came right on time for as a perfect gift. I plan to do a purple one in honor of my mom who passed away from pancreatic cancer. ❤
Thank you for this tutorial Crystal, I just lost my beautiful Mom in April to Breast Cancer so this means a lot to me and to so many other's going through it themselves or with a loved one. Thank you!❤❤❤
This is so nice! The fact that you didn't have to make a graph of the design is truly impressive. There is no way that I could crochet that ribbon and keep it centered just by keeping count of the stitches! That is amazing to me.
Thank you for making this design. It is most certainly adaptable for any medical cause we want to support! Breast cancer runs deep in my family and on both sides. I have lost females AND a male relative to breast cancer.
I will be making this for my nieces who lost their mom..my sister..to breast cancer. Thankyou for easy instructions.....that makes all the difference. These can also be made for other types of cancer of course just by changing the color of your yarn.
That's a lovely pattern,I lost my mum to breast cancer a year ago on the 23rd October last year. Mum was first diagnosed 5yrs ago and after treatment she had the all clear just before the pandemic hit. She was then diagnosed again in August last year and it had aggressively spread through her body and sadly she lost her fight. I have been given Mum's yarn and this square Will be perfect to make a blanket for the grandchildren. Thank you so much Crystal ❤ can't wait to make it 🧶 x
My sister has had 4 major bouts with cancer breast being the most recent. I'm going to make her an afghan out of the colors of of all 4 mixed together.
The only thing I could think of the whole time I was watching this video was what a beautiful scarf that pattern would make if you kept repeating the ribbon. I kept thinking in green for organ donation. 💚 My son was a donor when he passed. A year later, my husband was a recipient of a new liver. 💚 Thank you for the pattern, Crystal!
Thank you for this and many tutorials. I’ve made your BC ladies bag and the BC phone bag😊 so now I will be making this block and many more to donate to BC awareness week as my family has been touched by this hideous disease. Thank you ❤
Crystal, thank you for designing this lovely piece ~ my beautiful fraternal sister succumbed to Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2015 🌸💔🌸 … I plan on crocheting several to make a vest to wear for the ‘More Than Pink Walk’ that I’ll be participating in San Diego, November 5 ~ thank you for being such an amazing compassionate Woman & teacher🥹💝💎
Thanks so much Crystal for this tutorial!!! My brother just passed away in August from pancreatic cancer. He was 51 years old and was diagnosed in April of this year. Going to make this in purple for November which is pancreatic cancer month😊
Hi from France! I’ve made three pouches for pink October. Here, there was a challenge to send 10 000 pouches to “institut Curie” of Paris. I’m gonna do some of your squares and give them to one of the specialized hospital here in my city. Great pattern 👍🥰 Have a nice sunny day😘🌺
Brengt cancer survival here 😊 Had my check up for this year just this morning. Have to want for the resultaten until tomorrow... I hope everything is okay 🙏 Thank you so much for this pink ribbon square and spreading awareness 🩷
I swear ever since I found your channel I've been "hooked"... pun intended lol seriously though, I just love how you explain things in a way that's easy to understand, you pace yourself so the viewer can easily follow along and you give extra info like measurements, estimates of how much yarn might be needed etc. I just really enjoy your videos and have come to trust your options so I just wanted to say I appreciate you!
I like the granny square and that you did this up for October Breast Cancer Awareness! It is wonderful to do things to support that. Very important issue!
Thank you for another great square. I'm collecting so that I can make a blanket of all different square designs, I have enough already but you keep coming up with new ones that I can't resist, so I really have to choose soon or make a blanket big enough to cover my entire house.
Thank you for this pattern. It has inspired me to create an afghan of ribbons in a row. I love your tutorials. They are so easy to understand and the end products is beautiful :))
First of all I just want to say thank you Crystal for a wonderful tutorial I really enjoyed crocheting this piece I made mine in pink 😊 It came out looking Beautiful 😊I used a 5mm hook and it measured 9x9 with the broader but I love it thank you so much 😊 😊😊😊😊
I would love to make a blanket featuring all colors of cancer ribbons. My Das has lung cancer. Mom had pancreatic cancer, and my sister had matastized breast cancer. I know each has its own color.😊
Hi Crystal I would like to say to you Crystal , IS THANKS A LOT FOR TEACHING ME HOW TO DO THIS STITCH? NOW I CAN MAKE MY AUNT A BLANKET WITH THIS STITCH ON IT.
