Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ this is going to be my very first crochet bag . I'm using a 4mm braided yarn and 7 mm hook , I started the first 11 rows and it's much bigger because of my yarn and hook size. My question is if I can just chain 15 stitch to make it smaller? And following the pattern with those stitches. ❤thank you so much

Yes you can chain 15, just make sure that before you start crocheting the sides the total number of your stitches is an odd number let's say its 71, 73, 75 and so on....if it is not you just add one more st

Very practical nice bag I can see where it could be altered to be bigger or smaller to your preference but I would love to know what kind of yarn you actually used I tried with standard yarn did not get that firmness that you your bag has I'm going to have to do a lot of practicing on that stitch but you did a great job on that video thank you

In the round where you add the spike stitch - all my other rounds count is 71 but whenever I do the spike stitch I keep coming up with 77. What am I doing wrong?

You might be forgetting to skip the stitch of the working round located behind the spike stitch just made. Since the spike stitch overlays the stitch of the working round and replaces it....so if you crochet into the stitch of the working round ( the one behind the spike st) you add more stitches to the total

I don’t understand,I have same yarn,same needle.I made the rows that you said,but when I measured,it wasn’t 11 cm.I got to start all over again 😢,but yeah next time I’m gonna first look the video first and the start with the project ❤

it could be an issue with different tension...but you can still add more chains at the beginning or more rows

yes you can use 2 mm macrame... the bag will be slightly smaller than this one, however you can add more chains at the beginning and rows for the base , then for the height you can add more rounds, you can check the dimensions of the bag in the description and adjust your bag as you crochet

@@bubblebubble8991 its not heavy and it mainly depends on the type of yarn you use if you use cotton macrame it will be lighter than polyester macrame .....however it's not heavy, I will weight the bag and give you the weight

@@aarjushrestha8884 if it's not found locally you could try buying online, I myself sometimes buy on Etsy , Amazon or AliExpress ....check these websites and see which will do best for Nepal but they all sell macrame. You could try using bulky yarn for the bag if you can't find macrame

Yes you can still use a 2 mm macrame and a hook less in size than the one I use.....you have to increase the foundation chains so that they are 22cm and also the rows for the bottom they should be 11 cm to get the same size bag
