Do you think this will make a good gift as a hat and scarf for winter?

Yes, I’m going to try this as a scarf for my friend using a Caron Cake yarn. Also may do a lap blanket for my sister in law for her birthday.

Interesting stitch...I've been looking for another diamond type pattern for an afghan. This is the one for sure! Love your tutorials..even though your terms are different for me. I can't help but smile when you tell people to tie the yarn to their hook if they can't manage a slip knot! Oh you! Lol.

Hi Alison I want to say thank you for your crochet videos. I have said this before,I think your very easy to follow and so inspiring. I love the way you say “YOU CAN DO THIS”. This diamond pattering I have learnt from you. I have made a baby blanket for a friend of mine. I’m very proud to say I have nearly finished it. It’s quite big too. I don’t think I have made a blanket quite so big before. I know my friend will be so pleased with it. So THANK YOU once again for your tutorials. X

Oh no. haha I just finished a blanket. I am most of the way done with a simple lace shawl/vest. I really like this stitch. I will save it to a playlist for later. I do want to try some bamboo yarn from Hershner's. Hmmm maybe that will be for this. It is garden season, so I need to shift some time that way. This will be something to do on rainy days or to save for the future. Later... I ended up using yarn left from the blanket to begin a scarf in this stitch.I couldn't resist. :) As I finished this scarf, I added 2 rows of another color to the end. Then I flipped it around and added 2 rows to the, beginning, flat end, so it has the sort of zig zag edge all the way around. This is a fun and very quick, and lovely looking stitch! Thank you Alison. 💗

I love this stitch! I made a blanket this past year with one of your videos that was similar and it was 4 uk tc in each space. I can't find that video any longer. Do you (or anyone else) happen to know what I'm talking about? It is a beautiful and stretchy 3-d type of blankie. Its blue fabric and starts off with a happy "hello!". Anyone know? I'd be ever so appreciative...

It's a pretty pattern 💜 Do you mind if I ask if something has changed with the focus or camera Allison? Only that I've always watched you on a tablet size screen or a tv screen and this is blurry for me for the first time? Or maybe it's the yarn colour/angle? I thought I would mention it as I know you want to know. It's definitely a project for my to do list as a xmas gift xx 👍

At “9:01” at the very end, you say put one ‘double’ crochet-but in watching it looks like you put a ‘treble’. Which do I do? A UK double or a UK treble?
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel 2 года назад
both are the same stitch, I learned from my mother as a child in uk terms then didnt crochet again until I was 52 in the USA so my brain kind of slips every now and then. The UK and USA have different terms but both are the same.

Usually the hook size is suggested by the label of the yarn you choose. Any size yarn can be used for your project , just use the appropriate size hook.
