Great review Laura. I already have this book as I have always loved little "bugs and slugs" of all kinds! 🪰🕷🐜🦋🐌That little aphid is just the cutest thing. I plan to make a tiny army of them in assorted colours!
I was given the book as a present a few years ago. It's such a easy to follow book,even for me who was still kind of learning how to follow instructions.
The book is beautifully presented. however as an intermediate amigurumi crocheter, I have struggled with the wings of the peacock butterfly...taking a long time and unpicked several times. But I will persevere as I think they are delightful. My gut feeling I probably started with the most difficult pattern first! the basic shapes like catapillar was easy. Its nice to see reviews for this book, as you like to know how others felt about it.
I went through the exact same experience lol so can totally relate. I persevered like you, but I think I'd opt for an easier butterfly if I made another 😅🦋
Thank you for doing a book review. I live in a small country town in Australia and it can be overwhelming looking at books online with descriptions that are lacking.
I have this book as well and I found it difficult to work. Because I do like the look and idea, I think I will adjust the pattern for me. My granddaughters love playing with it.
I am also having difficulty with the joining of wings. Im attempting the Ulysses. Also I cannot figure out the cocoon. I could use an idiot guide. I would appreciate any tips. I am not understanding the written instructions 🤦♀️
