I finished my cat bed! Wish I could post a pic on comments because it came out so well! Thank you for giving me something to make other than a baby blanket! It gives me confidence in trying new things now
@@bethmanley3680 hello Beth, You can go to my Facebook Emily's craft and crochet and post pictures. I would love to see them. My friend could not post her blanket. I am not good with media, I hope I can see your pet beds. Emily
I am making a big basket and the pattern is very similar to this one. My cat jumped in it and I thought there must be a video for a crocheted cat bed and that is how I found this! I will be making this cat bed next. Great video and your cats are so sweet . Liz B. (Upstate NY)
i am making this currently for my cats... but i wanted to make 2 flat circles and then connect them like a cushion! should i do the round of HDC on both circles and stop there? or also add a couple rounds of SC ? Thank you in advance 😁
Hi. I just realized I used baby blanket super bulky yarn. Do you know the best way to reinforce the sides and bottom because it’s a bit soft and flimsy? Thanks.
Mine is turning out way too wavy! I tore it apart and I’m now only doing one sc and every few stitches I’ll randomly do two sc- never more than 2 sc. It’s very flat and getting bigger with every round. There’s no way you could keep adding all those stitches and keep the bottom flat. Other than this quirk, I’m loving this project.
Hey I really want to learn this but I don’t know how to do a double crochet and I tried everything and even looking for it on your channel but I can’t find it
Hi, so at the beginning of a new row do the stitches slowly increase by one in each stitch. Then after each increase you put 2 stitches in one whole then the increased number and 2 stitches?
Hello, each time you put two stitches in one opening you are increasing. When you put one in between you are keeping the project flat. Once you put a single crochet in each stitch it will start to curve up. I hope this helps.
@@Emilycrochet this is the first time iv worked in a circle and the first time iv crocheted anything other than a blanket! So it's been a challenge but after a few failed attempts it's now coming along nicely!!!! Iv subscribed to your videos and would love to see more cat related crochet projects :-) ❤.
Yes, she did all those crochets in the same loop. I found it confusing at first as well because I'm used to starting these types of patterns with chains and a slip knot into the first one to form a circle or, with a magic circle.
I think I did 18-20. I actually just washed my three beds, I put old socks around sides and sewed it by hand with yarn shut. It made the sides so much more sturdy. You can make your sides as many rows as you would like. Hope your project comes out with your love and expression. Have a great day.
I had to give up. Mine just keeps coming out looking like a wavy skirt. *Update. I tried this pattern with double crochets and it doesn't come out all wavy. Plus, you don't have to do twelve rows. ☺️
