You can also crochet this cardigan sweater pattern smaller or bigger between 1-7 years by simply changing your hook size and making it exactly like this tutorial with same stitch count and number of rows. Just remember that these sizes are not exact, they are based on standard size measurements and since tension will vary from one person to another which can affect the final size and same applies for the different yarn weights. Sizes:
1-2 years use 4mm crochet hook with #4 yarn
2-3 years I used a 4.5mm crochet hook with #4 yarn
4-5 years use 5mm crochet hook with #4 yarn
6-7 years use 5.5mm crochet hook with #4 yarn
MATERIALS: To make this girl’s crochet sweater cardigan I used medíum #4 yarn with a 4.5mm crochet hook. I used about 295 grams of yarn. I used Red Heart Bunches of Hugs Capri color and five 12mm size buttons.
APPROX. GAUGE: 2IN = 4 rows /9 STS FROM SKIRT PATTERN
