How to crochet easy doily coaster step by step tutorial for beginners.
The doily measures approx. 16 cm (6.3 inches) in diameter.
Materials used:
Sport weight yarn. I used Drops Safran 100% cotton yarn. 8 grams (26 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.

my friend and I at 62 and 63 years old both started crocheting, you are the first tutorial we have seen where the instructor holds hook, yarn and worked piece exactly like we do. Awesome! Love this easy piece to work up!

Your tension might be a bit loose or you could be using a hook that is too big for your yarn.

Yes, I'm now 88 and hold my hook the same comfortable way! Just starting this pattern but my yarn is too bulky to use such a small hook! Hope it will work!

I use this particular one for thin yarn projects (doilies, coasters, tablecloths etc) and I also have it in bigger size which I use for thick yarn projects like bags, rugs, etc.
