A few things I may have missed!! If you want to change the size just change your starting chain as long as it’s a multiple of 6! You can then make any size! The starting chain is to fit around your palm! It’s better for it to be a little bigger than smaller as the chain will shrink with the crocodile stitch! Hope this is helpful 💚

Lauren you are a wonderful teacher. Very clear, precise instructions and recap where helpful. I am quite a novice at crochet but managed to make a lovely pair very easily following your great video. I thoroughly enjoyed it and now making a pair for a 9 year-old following your rule of 6. Thank you for your patience and clarity.

Wow this is amazing! I always wonder is crochet universal?? Like are there just the couple base stitches, like single and double, that ppl just make different patterns for or does everyone do it different? Like some ppl are more traditional and have the structure and use the basic stitches vs just making it up as you go.

I love this tutorial. It was my first time attempting this and the gloves turned out great except for one issue; the wrists off the gloves were really loose and didn't really hug my arms. I did 42 stitches with a 3.75 mm hook. Is there any way to make it tighter around the arms or is it just the hook or yarn size?

I have tried this 4 times, and that chain no matter what I do twists every single time. Even with the little trick of putting the hook through first loop and keep chaining. I'm still relatively new to crochet, but what in the world am I doing wrong that it is twisted EVERY time?
@andromedaeve3097
@andromedaeve3097 5 лет назад
HI, what I sometimes had is twisting the chain while making it. Check out if you're doing that. With a fine yarn like this it happened to me a lot.
@crochetaholic7105

Try creating you're chain slower, sometimes its hard to say what you're doing that's creating the issue but slow and steady wins the race! :)

3mm hook seemed smaller to me, at least in the US. I moved it up a bit and adjusted to the size around the palm.
@lorigoshert6667
@lorigoshert6667 4 года назад
I was wondering about that too. A 3 mm hook is tiny, and it doesn't look that small in the video. (Also, my set of hooks doesn't have one that is "exactly" 3 mm; hook D is the closest.)
@lorigoshert6667
@lorigoshert6667 4 года назад
Just coming back to say I've made three rows of dragon stitches using the 3 mm hook, and the glove is much too small - and I have narrow hands. So I'm going to try it again with a 4 mm hook. Using "practice" yarn again (since I'm new to this), so if this is too big, I'll use a hook between the two sizes with the yarn I want to use for the finished product.
@kckirkify

I have had the same problem. So I bought many different colours from different sellers and I made the experience that some colours are totally fuzzy and some colours ain't. I can tell that the colour called "magic" from Minerva Crafts in England is totally not fuzzy. The colour "domino" bought from loveknitting.com is very fuzzy. So I came to the conclusion that either it's a matter of colour or it's a matter of storage because the products from Minerva Crafts came all wrapped in plastic and were all not fuzzy.
