I usually do not comment on RU-vid videos but I have to share my love for this tutorial. I have little to no experience with crochet, started a year ago and gave up within the first month, only knowing how to chain. I used to have a fear of granny squares which I do not have anymore thanks to this tutorial. If any one other than the creator of this tutorial is watching and wondering whether they can do this as a beginner, you totally can : it has the ambition any beginner is longing for without asking for too much material. By the way if you are very new to crochet, better to start with the laces first :) !
I just made this and it turned out beautiful i am so in love and so proud of it, thank you so much for sharing this simple and easy to follow pattern with us ❤❤
This is very cute..I like that it’s a Fanny pack for all ages.. great job.. thank you 😊I’ll definitely be making my teenage granddaughters one..I’m sure they will love it..😊
I would love for you to show how you sewed the zipper on the back end and sewed in the strap too… could you show me a picture or explain that! I love this!!!
I'm a bit confused about 13:11 when it comes to the boarder. I think it's mainly cause everything is in the same colour yarn, so it's hard to see what is going on. But from what I understand, is that you did 2 rows of half double crochet along one side, slip stitched down, did 1 row of half double crochet along the other side, and then fastened off? Wouldn't this make the edging 2 different widths on each side?
Thank you for this tutorial! My width of my bag turned out to be 14 inches. I used a smaller hook size F as well. I’m not sure why it turned out so wide. Do you have any suggestions on how to make it less wide/smaller? 😊
Try sewing it onto the zipper without pulling at all, even beter if you can do it by hand and pull the stiches a bit closer. Otherwise you can also change the stitches of the last row to be smaller: instead of trebles->doubles, doubles->half doubles and half doubles->singles. 2 chains between the 6 doubles. That's what I did because I wanted a smaller bag.
My bag ended up 13" also. So I put a row of slip stitches along the edge with a smaller hook. Now it's 11" but I'll have to steam out "the waves" created by the small hook size.
Hi, I have a question please. When you crochet the top of the bag with half double crochet, why you crochet one side and then the other side, instead of crochet in continue all around ?
Crocheting that way creates 2 flaps with a gap in between. I think she does that to make it easier to install the zipper, and it leaves some extra room to install the strap!
1) After 5 chains, insert hook into the first chain and slip stitch (that's ur hoop in the middle) 2) make 3 chains and double crochet 15 times into the hoop (including the first 3 chains u will have a total of 16 double )
Idk if I made it sound easy but if it's still hard to grasp then u can search up crochet circle videos or a granny square video and join it like how it's been shown in this video.
