This is really cool, thank you! I think it would have been difficult to understand in a written pattern so the video is great! I am a therapist at a rehab so I think I will make this for my patients to fidget with.

Omg. You crochet like a knitter! And this isn't me teasing you, I learned knitting first and my mom (a crocheter) is constantly reminding me that I'm crocheting and not knitting bc I do the same thing! I wrap the yarn around the hook instead of using the hook to wrap the yarn around itself! You crochet like me and I've never seen anybody else do that and I feel so seen and it's amazing! You also start your first row through the foundation chain in the bumps of the chain and that's how I do it too and it's amazing!!!! ❤

I would say only if supervised the entire time. Little fingers, hands, feet can get tangled. Don't leave it with a baby/very young child in a crib etc. That's my 2 cents since Craftsy never answered your question.

I crochet very tightly. Can’t help it I try to be looser and doesn’t work. Only way I can do this is a foundation single crochet row

4, 5 and 6mm hooks are all very handy. They're not too small (which can be fiddly to work with, especially for beginners), and they're not uncomfortably large. As you do more crochet, you might find yourself branching out into different kinds of project, but medium sized hooks are always a great starting point
