Donating locally is the right way to go. Think of all the extra yarn you'll be able to purchase with the money you'll be saving on postage. Also we need to talk about charities more often and openly. How are people and crafters supposed to know about them if we don't share?

Litsa, making for charities does feed our soul. Like you, I try to send something to Wings and BMO, but most of my donations are local. The lovies are precious!

Hi Litsa, lovely that you're doing a winter appeal! What you would have paid towards postage can go towards yarn for local donations 🧶 I definitely don't think it's bragging, I see it as raising awareness for causes you care about. I've would have never learnt about amazing causes like Camp Boggy Creek if it weren't for our fellow crafters talking about it on RU-vid, and I'm sure the increased awareness benefits the charity as well 🤗

I donate and make loveys and blankets for Sunshine Linus up here on the Sunshine Coast we make for types of need hospitals,nursing homes,dementia patients,children with learning difficulties,domestic abuse,prem babies and the club also make special requests.I made 14 loveys for September and have started on this months contributions .Love your makes for donations.❤️😘💐🧶
