I make 145 chain and get 144....for the corner u make 9 - 9 for each side right??should i do the same 9 stitches for my corner ..sry for my bad english

Could be the type of yarn I am trying to use but crocheting through the back stitch is not happening it's too tight. I tried doing looser stitches but that didn't help. I hate that, I love this pattern but sadly can not make it work with what I have on hand.
