Hi! Yes it’s a 1.5mm crochet hook for this project. The one I used was my Grandma’s and it is very old. The handle is a bit thick which I like for dexterity. But the hook portion measures as a 1.5mm. Thanks! 😊
Hi! I’m sorry you are having trouble with this project. It is small work, which is challenging for very beginners. There are shorts on this channel to help with each stitch. That could be a helpful place to begin. Also, starting with a flat piece of work is easier if you are a very beginner. Possibly a dishcloth. Please don’t give up if you desire to learn to crochet.
