***Hi just wanted to say that when you are working on creating the lip/edge of the pot, after you work the row into the front loop only, add 1 more row of single crochet! Sorry the video cuts that part off***

hi! i just wanna say i crocheted this potted plant for my friend’s birthday and she ended up loving it so much! this is a great tutorial and it was very easy to follow!
I finished mine today! Since i’m a beginner (have only crocheted for about 3-4 weeks) my pot came a bit.. stingy. But now that it’s done it looks amazing! Thank you for this pattern
bro i’m new to crocheting. like started two days ago. first day i was crying over it because i couldn’t do anything except chain. this made things so easier and i’m so excited to see what mine looks like when it’s finished. thank you for this tutorial!!!!❤
This is great, I was looking for a crochet pot to make for a string of pearls since so many tutorials use regular pots instead of crochet ones, this worked perfectly!
Please do more videos about crocheting plants. I can understand you quite easily even though I suck at following instructions. Anyway I did this to give to my teacher, my friends told me my first product was "ugly" tho. Now I don't know if I should give it to him so Ig I need to redo 😭 the pot was a nightmare to make lol
this came out wonderful! i’m pretty sure i did something wrong because my lid was too small for the pot but i just added some more rounds and it looks great! thank you!
A tip for those watching the video if you go to the settings at the top (the one that looks like a screw on the right next to the subtitles) you can slow the video down 😊very helpful
This is my second time using this tutorial! I just wanted to say that row 15 there are no stitches left after the second 12sc to add the inc so I just ended it at the 12sc and it gave me 42 stitches. Also I would recommend slip stitching after every round and chaining 1 to make the ends more structured and not floppy like it looks in the video. This technique gives the pot more shape and allows it to stand on its own!
I also want to add that the first time I made it I used a size 4.5 or a 5cm (I forgot) crochet hook and it came out too big for my liking. This time I used a 3.5 and it’s perfect as a car hanger!
this entire project is so gosh darn cute. it was smaller than expected, simply cause i was using a 4mm hook instead of a 5mm as i only had yarn appropriate for that hook left over. but your directions were amazingly easy to follow, so it wasn't hard even for a beginner like me. Thank you!
@@sabina1417 i mean, the entire project ended up being roughly the size of my hand, so yeah, smaller than expected. how big did yours end up being? maybe you used chunkier yarn or something
This was kind of all over the place , my rim of the pot is uneven and I swear after doing some of the increases there wasn’t the right amount of chains.
Finished mine yesterday. Even though the result was muuuuch smaker than expected, i loved it! Sooo cute! I had to trust the process while making the pearls, cause they looked like trash while making them 😜 today i started with making it again with double strands of yarn 👍🏻
good tutorial, thank you so much for posting it! i have a small comment about the tutorial, if i were you i'd only say the first stitch repetition of the row you're working on and i'd let the viewer see for themselves what is happening for the remaining stitches, since most rows are made of x repetitions of the same stitch structure, you only have to show it once to be able to make the entire row. i was thinking "poor girl it must be annoying to have to repeat the words "single crochet" for 40 minutes straight "
Late reply, but you just add another 1 row of single crotchet around, then you slip stich to close it. She said it was cut off in the video. Hope this helps :)
Ok good tutorial and all but row 15 is confusing you said it’s supposed to be 42 sc total but you end with the last stitch with 2 sc in one chain if you do the math that equals 44 you said 6sc then 2 sc in the next one then 12 sc then 2 in the next one adding that up it will be 44 not 42 so is the 12 supposed to be 11 sc or what??
it’s an amazing tutorial, but I got really confused at the pearls part especially because you didn’t explain how you sewed them into the pot. Did make the strings of pearls all seperately?
I know I apologize for that! all of your string of pearls connect so once you reach the end you'd slip stitch and continue chaining on so they always are attached.
a lot of people use the hook size recommended on the skein package. so its not the hook shes using a 5mm with yarn that needs a 5mm hook. just keep that in mind, its not the hook.
I really want to do this with chunky yarn so it's bigger but idk if it will work but could you please put the pattern in the description box I find the pattern a bit more helpful than videos because they confuse me a bit 😅 also I saw this on Pinterest lol
Hi, follower from tiktok. I've started this and am following along. When we get to the "lip" part... my lip is much smaller after doing front loop only, am I missing a round or 2?
@@stitchandflickcrochetthank you for such a great tutorial!! I’m fairly new to crochet and this was really easy to follow. For the extra row, did you just do SC or did you do SC in front loops only? 🙂 thank you! X
Can anyone tell me what to do about rows 14 and 15? Row 14 makes a total of 39 for that round, but you need to have 40 in the round to do the pattern for row 15. Not sure exactly what to do now
I have a question? Do u know the lid of the pot, does it have to be the same colour as the pot or is it supposed to represent soil. Can I make it brown to look like soul or is that going to look wield?? Pls tell me soon Cus I’m on that part and idk what to do!😅😅
Hi I love this but I’m just confused about what to do after I’m done with my 40 (for the string of pearls) and I don’t understand what to do so can anyone help me understand?
But how did this happen? [Min: 19:11], I don't understand. I was doing so well and right there I got lost… :( ESP: Pero cómo pasó a esto? [min: 19:11] , no entiendo. Iba tan bien y justo allí me perdí.
@@aileengarcia2473 yess i rewatched the video and turns out, she actually said to sew on the connected part at the very top to the pot. My fault for not catching it, sorryyy
Wait, I’m confused there used to be a comment that had the pattern typed out and I went to your website and I have to pay to get the pattern typed out? even though the RU-vid video has it for free?
I don't understand how you got the lip on your pot? In the video all you do is SC in the front loops but mine came out really small with barely a lip.. is there something I missed?
I think I show this in the video. Once you work all the way back up to your starting point, you slip-stitch and immediately chain the next length. that way you end up with all your individuals attached already.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I am getting very confused and not the right number of stiches in the top round peice of the pot. Once you finish the 6 DC making 12 total stiches, how many are you doing 1 Sc and 2sc before you stop? It says 18 total but I even followed stich for stich and it does not make that many I'm always short, then my DC are not ending where my stich marker is, I've restarted like 4 times.
in that round you’ll do 1 sc into a stitch then in the next stitch you do 2 sc. just repeat that, 1 sc into one and 2 sc into the next. so in the end there should be 6 sc and 6 of the 2 sc
Just si you guys don’t make the mistake like me after u do the magic circle and like add to it do the crochets when u start making it taller on the back like don’t continue where u we’re doing cos it’s gonna look so dumb and so flimsy like flip the whole thing over
