Homespun is a beautiful yarn, it’s just tricky to “frog” (I.e. pull out)! I have a little of about 5 skeins in non-matching or coordinating colors! I’ll have to buy a few skeins of neutral to make something.

How much is the length of the scarf? i did same stitches as yours but mine came out much smaller.

Can I use red heart yarn

You can definitely use Red Heart Yarn. Just make sure you are either using super bulky weighted yarn so that the length and width is similar. Or you can use a bulky or worsted weight yarn, just make sure that you chain enough to be able to fold both of the bottoms upwards to make a pocket. Also, the bulky or worsted weighted yarn won't stretch as much as the super bulky, so please keep that in mind as you work your rows :)

Hi, I read the instructions you gave below, I'm super excited to make this scarf/pocket w/hoodie! I'm going to use the Michael's Loops and Thread Country Look which is a bulky weight. Should I use the 17mm hook still or the recommended size for the yarn? I'm a newbie so m not sure. Thank you! 💜😌

I would start with the recommended hook size for the yarn if you have it for a few rows so you don't have to redo a lot of rows if you don't like how it is turning out. If you don't like how the stitches are turning out i.e. are they too loose or tight, then change the hook size accordingly :)

Its me again... I was wondering do yiu think I'd do okay If I use a 15　or 16 which is a P or Q hook？I dont.have an R hook :ー{

MysHernandez Me Yes you should be okay to use either of those hooks :) It just might change the size of the scarf. If it does, your starting chain would just need to be a bit longer.
