hi guys, i made a typo for the button pocket chapter, it should say: HDC decrease, 1 HDC in each St, HDC decrease in the final 2 stitches hope that helps 💗
This was by far the easiest way for me to make the pockets. I really struggled with the way others crocheted them . Thank u so much for the great tutorial 😊
i noticed you are left handed! i've never seen a left handed person making a tutorial such as this, i had to learn how to crochet like a right handed person to follow the tutorials haha, good video!
Love this tutorial! All I have left to do is add the flower edges and button flap but so far it’s turned out super cute! Thank you for the clear instructions, this was exactly what I needed! ☺️
Hi! I love the case, thank you for making this video. Before I get started I wanted to ask if you have any tips for making this case longer to have more hook pockets, maybe into a trifolding case? And any tips for making the hook pockets bigger if needed? I absolutely love the design. Thank you!
Thank you for such a sweet comment!❤️ so to make it longer you would just make more chains (but make sure that you are chaining an even number + 4), and then to make the hook pockets bigger you would just make a longer chain and half double crochet as normal! I hope that helps, I’d love to see the final result cus a trifolding case sounds really interesting!❤️
Im going to make this but im not going to sew the top of the 2 big panels so i can have a big pocket for printed patterns or other big papers. ❤❤ I'll still add the edging around the outside panel. ❤ thanks for a great tutorial 👍 🎉
Hi love your crochet hook case especially l love that cute little envelope at the top right corner that's right size for my interchangeable hooks l use a lot.very pretty from Bernadette from Hertfordshire in U.K.
thank you so much for this tutorial! im going to start making it right away! a question: it is necessary to make two back panels? what if i use a thicker yarn and only make one panel instead?
Thank you for your lovely comment! In my opinion it’s better for the weight of the hooks and other supplies to have a double lining, you could try it but i feel like it still might be floppy with one panel !💗
Hii! May i ask? How many grams of yarn do i need to make this storage case? Tysm in advanced❤ btw i love this tutorial so much! I'm gonna use the black and white yarn! Hope this turn out lovely❤
Thank you so so much, I appreciate it💗 So if you’re fitting lots of pencils you want to make a bigger case overall. So just make more chains when you are starting the main panel of the case (making sure it’s a multiple of 2 if you’re doing the moss stitch, +1 for the turning chain). For each pencil pocket you can make a chain that is long enough in width to fit a pencil/multiple pencils comfortably. Then continue the pattern for the pockets as normal.
i would say this is more intermediate, but you can always swap out the stitch i use for an easier one like single crochet, and you don’t have to add a button or do a border, you could easily make a chain and loop it around the seams and tie it to close the case together ❤️
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. The first panel I made turned out great. I made a second one using the same amount of chains in the fountain chain and it turned out a full inch narrower than the first one. I frogged it and I'm trying again but no matter what I do my rows have less chain spaces than the rows in the first panel and I cannot figure out what it is
i’m so sorry that you are having a tough time with it! silly question but are you using the same hook size and tension as the first panel you made? if your tension is tighter it’ll cause the work to narrow. make sure you are chaining one after each single crochet, and make sure you are making your single crochets into the correct spaces. if you are accidentally skipping the correct spaces you could be accidentally decreasing, if you need anymore help let me know 💗
are you chaining 1, then skipping the stitch, then making the SC? because if you’re not chaining 1 then your technically decreasing a stitch and pulling the work inwards which could create curling, another reason could be the size of your yarn not matching with the hook size, if you’re using chunkier yarn and a smaller hook this can cause curling as there’s “too much fabric” in one space, let me know if there’s anyway i can help!💗
i normally get my buttons either from charity shops, craft shops or amazon, or you could make your own ‘button’ out of yarn by knotting it into a small ball and sewing it on! 💗
yes of course all the instructions still apply you will just be doing in the opposite direction, so i crochet left to right, and you would crochet right to left ❤️
it’s the same pattern, because the green yarn is ever so slightly thinner in thickness than the purple mix one, it meant it came out slightly smaller, (but it is only smaller by 0.5 inches). The green one is 8.5 inches across by 8.2 inches in height. I hope that helps ❤️
Is there a written pattern for this? I find It hard to keep track of where i am without it. I assumed since you had captions for everything. If there isn't that's okay.
