I really enjoyed your video on these soles I always have trouble with the counting. This was just great he way you took your time my sole finally worked out perfect 👍
Hi, could you please tell me which brand of cotton yarn your using? Its just easier for me to look up the brand so i can know if its baby yarn (or #3 weight here in US) or if its crochet thread #3, #8, etc.... Id truly appreciate it, thank you!!😊
Excellent tutorial! You are so easy to listen too! I'm starting my second pair of booties! One question what is that ring on your finger? With the yarn going through! Thanks !
What size are the soles you’re making? I’m using sugar n cream cotton yarn and the sole measures out so big. 3mm hook is what I used. I’m trying to make 3-6 month size.
Because of your guidance and pointing out what & where each stitch was, I was able to pause the video and follow the diagram for the 2nd sole. I've never been able to do that before! I even understand how I can adjust the stitches in the middle to make the sole shorter. Thanks for being an ah-MAZ-ing teacher!! On to the top of the shoe.
Sorry I'm confused. SO the ones you are making are the biggest size? How do I make the 6-12, I don't understand Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help
I understand that meters only measure the length of the yarn and gram only measures the weight of the whole skein but not the thickness of the strand. Can you please tell me what size yarn you are using as far as thickness? I'm thinking you are using fingering or light weight but am not sure. The hook I will use is a 3mm.
That was a great video, I like that you had the pattern written on top left corner but my only complaint is that you didn't have your camera closer to see your stitching along the way. That's all, other than that you were great.
Sorry, but I am really dense :-( What yarn did you use? Was it cotton or wool, and what weight? I am hopeless at understanding 170m = 50grams yarn. Thank You!
I did mine with a thin weight 4 acrylic yarn and a 4.0mm hook it came out to be 7 inches long..a little bigger than I expected..but I'm going to experiment with thinner weight yarns and some cotton yarn and smaller hook to see how long they are going to turn out..but my suggestion is if you want to make for a newborn to 6/9 months use a 2 weight yarn and adjust you hook size

To make sure they arent slippery on bottom you can use many different things. You can get puffy paint and put some on bottom of the sole in a pattern so the sole will grip the floor better and they wont slip. You can also use the non slip material ppl use in the kitchen in cabnits for plates, ive seen some use it and they get the smallest holed non slip kitchen rolls for baby booties, just cut the same size as your crochet sole and sew on to the sole with thread. You could also just make a crochet sole and use leather to cut out the same shape as the crochet sole and either sew the leather sole onto the bottom of the crochet sole or build your crochet shoe from the leather sole and not use the crochet sole at all and only the leather sole. You could do the same thing with felt instead of leather and for extra grip you can use the puffy paint on the felt sole too. Hope it helps😊
I loved this video! I can only say thank you, for words are not enough to tell you how very much I appreciate your technique. I was able to follow you completely. As a beginner at crochet, it is so gratifying to find an instructor that is easy to follow, visually and verbally. The stitch makers are a great help. Thank you, again, for helping me make progress on my first pair of soles.
Hiya, does anyone please know Do you have to change the number of chains for the different sizes or is changing the hook size enough to change the sole size? X
change the hook size only. everything else is exactly the same. she says what size hook she's using for each size sole, but you may need to adjust it depending on the yarn you use.
It's depends which one size of hook you use. Try to folow this pattern using 5 mm hook and recomanded yarn for this hook. And then do one sample to see what you got. Then you can move or add stitches.
