Amount of yarn used: I worked with 2 skeins of yarn and used up 125 grams in total, thus 77 meters approximately. This varies with the thickness of your yarn and the amount of meters or yards per gram.
For the written pattern I refer you to my Facebook page:

I really want to crochet this for a baby boy age 3yrs, no idea what hook size to use and it's a gift so I cannot fit this slipper either, any advice please 😇🙏
@ArtiSallyDesign
@ArtiSallyDesign 2 года назад
I have just made a slipper based on your request and these are my notes, I hope it helps, please feel free to ask more questions if needed🥰: Use a crochet hook of 7mm with chunky yarn and follow the tutorial for rows 1 and 2. You will end up with 16 stitches. From row 3 to row 6 you work a hdc in each and every stitch. Your measurement now should be approximately 8cm or a little over 3inches. You start row 7 with a chain 1 and you turn to work 9 hdc's after which you chain 1 and turn again. In rows 8 to 11 you will work a hdc in each of the 9 hdc's of the previous row and chain 1 and turn. Do this continuously until you finish row 11, where your work should measure 15.5-16 cm or a little over 6 inches. In the video you could look over the technique if you are stuck somewhere. After you have finished row 11 you can watch the video again starting from the point of joining the back (8:45) up until you finish working the trim. Good luck! And most of all enjoy crocheting! 🥰🥰
@ArtiSallyDesign
@ArtiSallyDesign 2 года назад
I based the measurements on different sources via Google by the way, so if the baby boy has somewhat of a moderate size it should fit perfectly. It also helps that working in hdc's gives a little stretch, so no worries about that. ♥️🙏

What is that yarn called? Color & brand? Thanks!
@ArtiSallyDesign
@ArtiSallyDesign 2 года назад
The yarn I used is from a local vendor, but it's very similar/almost identical to Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in the color Monarch. I looked it up and it's still available, for example on Amazon in batches of 3.

Looking for kids slippers

What age are you looking for? In the previous comments you can find someone asking for slippers for a 3 year old. For now let me give you the same answer I gave back then. Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask more questions if needed! Use a crochet hook of 7mm with chunky yarn and follow the tutorial for rows 1 and 2. You will end up with 16 stitches. From row 3 to row 6 you work a hdc in each and every stitch. Your measurement now should be approximately 8cm or a little over 3inches. After you have finished row 11 you can watch the video again starting from the point of joining the back (8:45) up until you finish working the trim. Good luck! And most of all enjoy crocheting! @ArtiSallyDesign

@@aissiasomai4824 Thank you for explaining. 😊 No I used a crochet hook size 6 mm, but it depends on how thick your yarn is and on how tight you crochet.

Adult size. The different sizes are mentioned in the video and in the written pattern that you can find attached through the link. In the comments I have also given directions for a kids' size in case that's what you're looking for. Please feel free to ask if anything is unclear. 🥰❤

I don’t know how to find the written pattern. My son loves these but he his a size 2 in kids. Thank you so much for your help! These look so easy and this video is so easy to follow!!

@ArtiSallyDesign Год назад
@@ritahaughton5499 If this is for a kid then you won't necessarily benefit from the written pattern eitherway. It is on my Facebook page for future reference and in the description box below the video ❤. Anyway to this comment I added he instruction for a 3 year old, I answered a comment below a while back, but this should benefit you too. Just make sure to measure it on your kid when I explicitely state you should do so, to make sure it isn't too big or small. Use a crochet hook of 7mm with chunky yarn and follow the tutorial for rows 1 and 2. You will end up with 16 stitches. From row 3 to row 6 you work a hdc in each and every stitch, so you stop increasing and just put one stitch (hdc) in every stitch of the previous row. Your measurement now after row 6 should be approximately 8cm or a little over 3inches. Measure your kid's foot to make sure it's the same size, as every kid grow differently. If it's too big: you frog 1 row. If it's too small: you add 1 row. Make sure to use a stitch marker in the beginning or end of every row as the video shows! You start row 7 (or any row you stopped at) with a chain 1 and you turn. Then you work 9 hdc's after which you chain 1 and turn again. Good luck! And make sure to message me if anything ia still unclear. 🥰🥰

Too fast for beginners
@ArtiSallyDesign
@ArtiSallyDesign 2 года назад
I understand, but there is a solution: 1. Try pausing the video whenever it is going too fast and just the read the text carefully. 2. Or turn the sound off and adjust the video speed through the settings by slowing it down. This way you can focus on the slower movements while reading the text in the video or on the free written pattern that explains everything to bits. If you are stuck somewhere specific, feel free to private message me on my Facebook page (facebook.com/artisally) where I can guide you through it personally. 🥰

Going way to fast
@ArtiSallyDesign
@ArtiSallyDesign 2 года назад
Hi there Jacinta. You can adjust the speed to 0.75 to watch the video at a slower pace. I would advice you to turn the sound off and pay extra attention to the written description throughout the video. The quality of the video can also be adjusted to see the writing more clearly. Good luck. 🥰❤

Have you tried changing the speed of the video? If there is a specific row you find confusing also, feel free to message me on Facebook: facebook.com/artisally. I would love to work you through it step by step. Regardless I do thank you for yoir feedback and I am working on making slower beginner videos and will upload those soon, so hopefully that will help!

@ArtiSallyDesign
@ArtiSallyDesign 3 года назад
Hi there Queens, I am sorry to read that. It was my first video tutorial so unfortunately I realised that afterwards. However there is an option to adjust the speed of the video, should I walk you through that? I also have a free written pattern in an album on my Facebook page: facebook.com/artisally Try reading that along with the video. Maybe it will become clearer that way and if not feel free to message me with any questions regarding the pattern. I am making seperate videos soon on basic stitches if you are an absolute beginner so that might be helpful for you as well.
