You just gave me a great idea I have some thin fluffy yarn that is hard to crotchet with but if I add it with some other thin yarn I could make a nice fluffy scarf. Sorry to get off the subject
I made one but instead of using all scrubby yarn I made mine with another yarn and made a thick pad of scrubby yarn and sewed it in the middle, since basically, you only use the middle to scrub with. Thanks, for sharing your way. ♥️💥🙏🏻🌈🎉
I absolutely love this! I've made several for gifts. When I tried one out myself, after getting it wet , it stretched twice as long. Now I follow your pattern, and after I slip stitch along each side. That helps secure the length. I really enjoy watching your tutorials and learning new projects.
I love this pattern! It’s so easy to follow. I did not have enough scrubby yarn for the whole thing, so I did 32 rows with the scrubby and added 10 rows of just the reg cotton on each end. Still turned out fantastic! Since I also make soap, between this and the soap bag, I will make a nice little “spa collection” of my own. Thank you!!! ❤️
@@CrochetWithTiffany I like the face scrubby’s too, but I’m not a fan of using that scrubby yarn alone. I think I’ll combine the two like you did for the Spa back scrub and just make a small square. 😊
Loved this pattern! I used one strand cotton with one strand scrubbie yarn and it was easy and made the perfect roughness for a back scrubber! I did make it a bit longer; I did 60 rows of hdc instead of 52 - I have arthritic shoulders so the longer version worked perfect for me. The tutorial was informative and easy to follow; great job! I’ll definitely be making more of these for gifts😊
Tiffany , I make these scrubbers , also . I make my handles a little different . I slip stitch in 4 stitches , chain 12 and slip stitch in the 4th stitch in on the other side . slip stitch to 3rd stitch and sc back across putting 2 sc in the middle of row 2 . Then do the same until you all 4 stitch that was skipped to the edge of project . That way , I crochet down the side of project and do the other handle the same way and then crochet up the other side . I like the regular scrubby yarn and the cotton from Redheart . Happy Mother's Day to Everyone !!! Love and Hugs .
HI Cindy Jo! I like the way you make your back scrub! I thought about that way. Found there were definitely a couple different ways to approach this project. Thank you so much for sharing! Happy Mother's Day to you too! I hope you had a beautiful day. 😊🧡🧶
Hi Tiffany.... love this..... my daughter in law is expecting her 1st baby in September, I’m putting together a spa pkt using your great spa patterns, this will be included. Thank you 😊
Love it. Made it just like you instructed. I am more familiar with knitting so I liked your video so I could see how the different stitches are done. Thank you.
Love this back scrub. Super easy. Just have to go back to the yarn store for more yarn😀. Never seem to have the right yarn for the next project. My husband just laughs, when I say, going to get more yarn🧶👏🏼😬
Thank you so much for this pattern, I just made one. I made it with one yarn for 15 rows, then I had the scrubby yarn for 20 rows, then, one yarn for the last 15 rows! I love it ☺️ I'm so glad that I found your chanel, you explain everything so well, I'm french, so for me, it's important!
I had struggled with the scrubby yarn so adding another yarn was so helpful. Thank you for the suggestion. I did have to move up to a 7mm hook in order to get a good view of my stitches so it’s a little bigger but I love it.
I am making the Spa Back Scrub right now. I have been crocheting for many years. I like to find things that I can actually use. A person can only have so many afghans and scarfs and such. I make rugs, pet rugs, body scrubs, etc. This project and the ease of your tutorials, is a perfect beginner project.
Cute idea but i think I'd make it with a little bigger hook (maybe 1 larger) and so single stitches. I'd start with the handle & chain 12 doing 4 rows then add the body of the back scrub, finishing with the other handle. Of course, i would also make your version too so my hubby could have one as well. Thanks Tiffany.
OK, I know that I'm really late on watching this, but I absolutely love it!! Thanks so so much for sharing!! Great gift idea for next year for my 8 sisters and sisters in law, and 10 niece's!!🤗🤗
Oh Perfect!!! You will have plenty of time to put together a really nice little crochet spa kit for them! I'm so glad you like this back scrub. It's pretty awesome. 🤗🧡🧶
I am a "beginner" that has worked with the scrubby yarn and don't have an issue with it. However, that being said, I highly recommend row markers of some sort! I'm not sure if it's the yarn or the stitch or the combination, but I wasn't counting my rows (I know, I know 😬) and lost track. When I went back to count, I'm having a hard time finding the rows.
I liked the video today and I’ve kept some of your spa tutorials that work for me. I do have a question though. Why not make the handles at the ends like on a purse or bag? I don’t think it’s going to hold up for long with use, getting washed etc.. I’ll make this but I’m going to adapt my handles so there more secure. Thanks Tiffany again for such a fun quick gift giving idea! Gloria
Hi Delilah! Actually after looking back on the video you're right. One of the handles does not look as sturdy as I would have wanted. An easy fix though. Just taking some yarn and sewing the ends of the handle to the main body. It will add strength and blend in well. 😊🧡🧶
@@CrochetWithTiffany I don't mean to criticize,I've only been CROCHETING for 2 yrs.But I use to make all my clothes & it looked professional, ironing, steaming/pressing with hams & all that.I could look at anything & redesign it & make it.I'M NOT THERE YET WITH CROCHETING, HECK I CAN'T READ A PATTERN. APPRECIATE ALL YOUR THINGS,I'VE MADE SEVERAL OF YOUR PROJECT'S.I'M ALSO A FLORIST NEVER BEEN TO SCHOOL.MY MA WAS LIKE THAT IN ALL CRAFTS.BEEN DOING CRAFTS FOR OVER 65YRS.
Love it, would make a great back scratcher, as u know I've used 2strands alot, we have emailed about pet beds, I'm onto my next project, looked at your patterns for baby things👍
I just finished one of these yesterday. They keep disappearing! I'll make this one today. Thank you for the video, I was getting seriously bored making the same thing over and over!
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm not a fan of scrubby yarn, so to get some texture I'm thinking about HDC in FLO follow by HDC in BLO. What do you think about this??
Hi Loretta! I think that would be a fantastic idea! It would definitely be a great alternative to using the scrubby yarn but also getting some scrub. 😊🧡🧶
Hi Cynthia! Dimensions should be mentioned in either the tutorial or the pattern connected. If you would like to make this Back Scrub longer or shorter just add or subtract the number of rows are in the middle section. 😊🧡🧶
Hi Lori, I had to rewatch the tutorial to see what you were seeing. Actually, I am doing a half double crochet in each stitch not a double crochet. If you watch closely, I only yarn over the one time not twice. Because of the extreme friction of the scrubby yarn and me wanting to control the tension of the stitches so that they weren't too tight or too loose, I broke down the half double crochet bringing the yarn through one loop at a time. For it to be a double crochet stitch I would have yarned over, pulled through only two loops and then yarned over again to pull through the last two loops. I hope this helps! 😊🧶💖
