I have been working this pattern, as you work in your video. It keeps coming out to 8-9 inches in diameter i even ripped it out and tried with a smaller gauge hook. I went from a G to an F . It is still 9 inches after row 12. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I love your design
I made this beautiful hat (minus the beads and flower) in Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn in aqua color for a neighbor, adding millinery wire to the edge of the brim. As a beginner/intermediate crocheter, I was amazed it turned out so perfect (like a store-bought hat!), thanks to Lyza's easy-to-follow instructions. Will be looking for more of Lyza's wonderful tutorials. 😍
If i decide to use size 2 weight cotton yarn and my head is 23" could i just use bigger hook? 6-7 size? Im going through chemo for ovarian cancer and would love to make andnwear this beautiful hat to protect from sun. God bless you fir sharing this. I dont like usual cap hats for chemo. Just want to feel pretty 😍❤ also can liquid starvh be used for brim or no? I do have light wire as i wire wrap jewelry 😉👍
Cantik sekali topinya, sayangnya saya tidak mengerti bahasanya. Tolong pakai caption bahasa indonesia. Saya ingin sekali bisa membuat topi ini. Terimakasih...sehat selalu untuk anda yg jauh di sana...👍👍👍🇲🇨
@Lyza Walters, your list of Materials says: "(I love this cotton brand)" Is this supposed to be a link? If so, it is not. Which is your favorite cotton?
I am not a beginner crocheter BUT I had to drop down to a #3 hook and still end up with a piece measuring 8inches. This is the third time I started this pattern because I love it so much. Actually thought my stitches were average leaning more to tight. What is the world is going on. If I kept going the pearls would be laying across my cheeks! About ready to give up. HELP

I just discovered your channel, and I have to tell you that I love it 😍 because the video is clear ... thanks for sharing your talent, blessings 🙏😘 from Houston Texas ... you have a new subscriber💖! Me encanta 😍!!!
at 3:19 directions read as follows: ch 1 tightly , 2 single crochet in same stitch as joined & SC in each stitch around- however, it should read, and 2 sc in each stitch around. That is what you DO in the video. Please fix
@Lyza Walters, I want to make this hat for a baby with a head circumference of 14.75 inches. What weight yarn would I need to go down to to make the hat that small? I was thinking either a really thin 3 weight or a 2 weight. Any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, I think the light weight/sportweight yarn. Or make a circle 4.5 to 4.75 in diameter. And the stitches should be multiple by 2 & 3 for all the stitches to work.Ex. 60, 72...
Hello there, You can make the hat's flat circle 6 inches in diameter. This is medium 4 weight 100% cotton. Or you can the same pattern and use 4.00mm crochet hook.
Why oh why do the video makers feel you must have background music every time. Music is a personal choice and this takes my attention off the subject, it drives you mad that every tutorial whether knitting, crochet cooking has this cruddy music. When will someone get the message we don’t need it???
Very nice vid. Tqvm for sharing.but, correct me if i'm wrong. The instruction for round 2, after 2SC in same st as joined, isn't it 2SC in each st around? Then only it'll become 20st at the end of the round
Looks like you put beads on yarn first, that would have been a good place to start and explain. Could you please tell us how many beads you put on before you started the hat? Thanks
