hello! I just wanted to share that I finished making this top (except I didn't do the lining and bow) and OMG it's my very first handmade clothing!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR IT!!
@@sarahkrm1781 hellooo~ i think it only took me 3 or 4 nights to finish this! I finished making the ribbed part in 1 night cuz I was too excited haha. The treble crochets took me a while cuz I keep missing to do chain 1 so I had to redo a lot 😂
love the tutorial! Maybe next time, could you choose a neutral background? I might be the only one, but my eyes hurt a bit trying to concentrate with the pattern in the back
idk how anyone else feels but i think it would be a bit better (for the viewer) if the background contrasted the color of the yarn you’re using. to better see it. but that’s just my 2cents
3:13 Just to remind ya’ll for the front, that when she sais every chain it doesn’t mean to go into the next one from the hook after you chained 2. I checked in the comments and saw she said 4th from the hook 🫡 so chain 2, hdc into the 4th chain from the hook
Helloo! May i ask after the ch95 front panel where u crochet from the 4th chain from the hook do you chain on the 4th chain from the hook in every row? Or you crochet on every chain
this is too cute!! definitely buying more yarn so i can try this 🥰🎀 btw could you please share the pattern for the happy berry bag from your other video? i really would love to make one for myself T_T 💗💗💗
i tried to make it and discovered it was too big only after finishing the front panel so i needed to frog it all 😭do you happen to have specific measurements for the width and length of each part the top? cause i think it would be helpful since the sizing might vary depending on the yarn type as well
I never follow sizing. Reason: it all depends on yarn, hook size and your tension. You just have to keep trying it on yourself... and don't forget how much yarn will stretch.
after being in a crochet slump for a while i’ve finally found a new project!! question, what size hook did you use, and is their a specific yarn material or is any yarn okay?
hi, im just wondering with the beginning, u said chain 20- then ch 2 for the height. but then u started hdc in the fourth chain from the hook?? doesnt that make it 18 rows in total?
I think I just go into the 3rd chain after the 20 + 2 chains and then at the end of every row I'll just chain 2 and then go into the first one...because if I go into the 2nd one every time it decreases haha so yeah, I'm confused too but I'll try it like this now haha
Hey! I don't know if I'm the only one struggling with it, but I don't understand the method of the back panel. Do I have to chain 3 and skip the first chain at the beggining of every row? Won't it decrease the number of hdc in the following rows? Also, how many hdc should you have in each row?
I frogged and redid it. For the following rows I chained 3 and did the first hdc on the 4th chain from the hook, like the first row. I’m on the 7th row now and all have 19 hdcs on all of them. Idk if it’ll affect any following steps yet. I’ll edit this if it does tho! < 3 hope this helps!!
@@gabrielasanchez5598I need to make an XL so I’m trying to understand how to do that. You just chained more than 20 for the ribbing as a rough estimate then did the 95chains or more so it could fit?
@@Farrah0812 so basically for the ribbing just measure what it takes to cover your entire chest and then when you are chaining 95 more or less if you have a bigger chest you would start by measuring the top of your chest under you armpits all the way around and gradually increase crochet stitches so that i could fit your entire chest. the amount of increases depends on how big your chest is but you would just increase until it fits right and then decrease for the bottom part of your chest where it starts getting smaller. i hope that makes sense
Is the back panel repeating the hdc only in back stitches after the first 2 rows or do you repeat 1 then 2 for the whole thing? And how many do you crochet for each new row when you turn is it 3?
Hi, I just finished the 95 chains and now need to sew them however I do not have a needle to sew and I fon't know how to is there any way to crochet it close?
Hi, I have encountered a problem. Because I am using DK cotton yarn my front panel ended up being quite narrow and doesn’t cover my boobs very well😅🫣 I have already sawn it together to the back panel. Is there something I can do to add more coverage at this stage before starting the mesh bits without having to frog the project? 😱 any help would be appreciated. Please and thank you in advance ❤
I would say to add more single or half double crochets after doing the single crochets on the bottom before starting the mesh. I haven’t tried this yet but I think it could work!!
Hi this is an odd question but I was wondering how many stitches were between the strap placement and the back part? I just wanna know where I should place the straps
After you do the back ribbing you chain around the length of your underbust and then half double crochet into each chain for 10 rows. At the end you connect the ends to the back ribbing piece by sewing. Someone else wrote a written pattern in the comments hope that helps
No because it wont have stretch at all and you wont be able to put it on, use acrylic but if yiu do want to use cotton yarn, instead of making the back ribbing, make a laced back
I think you could make the back part shorter or do less than the 95 chains. You could hold the back part to your body and wrap the chains around you and check if it fits. Maybe that helps :)
