Hello everyone, I'm back to show you how to make a crochet summer top for beginners. I'll show you how to make this crochet summer top easy!
It's a very easy 2 panel project, made with basic stitches. If you have never made a crochet summer top before, this is the one to make your first attempt. It really is EASY PEASY✌️😍 I've made dozens of crochet summer tops for women, and this might be the easiest one yet.

#3 light/DK weight yarn
I used Paton's Hempster ( Color Spice ) #3 Light/DK weight yarn amzn.to/2BKOAwC

Notes :
This top is made in 2 separate pieces and then sewn together (2 panels are made the same)
In this picture I have demonstrated with size small
Yarn needed for size small : 370 Yards
Gauge blocked: 12 hdc X 9 rows = 4"
Measurements ( After blocked )
Size small = 18.66" Width across back X 15.66" Length

This is so amazing! I have been crocheting for a few years now and I have never crocheted in the bottom loop of the chains before. What an "Aha-moment" for me! Thank you so much for showing us this. I don't think I will ever go back to crocheting in the backloop of the chain, which is how I used to do it.

PERFECT! I'm RElearning how to crochet after having a stroke > tried making my own pattern, I made two panels much like yours (one skein each), but ran out of yarn & couldn't decide how/what kind of neck I wanted to make > now, IF Amazon can send one more skein, I'll use your method for neck/shoulder section & finish! I am a trans guy who has a hard time finding comfortable tank tops to sleep in and thought it would be fun to try my hand at crocheting a tank top out of some old yarn handed down to me from a friend who was cleaning out their craft supply last summer. this is the prefect, simple pattern I was looking for and I was able to easily adjust the sizes for myself (I'm a smol dude to begin with so I sat in the L-XL range, no trouble) thanks so much for the easy to follow instructions!!! this is gonna be so much fun to make~

Hi im struggling with the sizing. I did 36 rows before I did the last tr . Row with the gap in the middle. My daughter is a xs and this size even though it’s big width wise, length it goes just below her chest, breasts. Am I doing something wrong??? Thank you
