Here is a fast and easy chunky blanket that will take 6-8 hours to make.
This pattern is ideal for beginners or if you are wanting to whip something up quickly.
The blanket in the video measures approx. 4' x 5' ft ( 50" x 60" in) using a 12 mm hook.

I love that you include your cats in your tutorials! My black cat, Tazz, passed away over 4 years ago and I still miss him every day. I had a short-haired Maine Coon, named Monster, that reminds me of your other cat. I miss him too. Both were gentle giants.

Just finished making a throw for a friend for Christmas with this stitching, started making a blanket for my grand baby. I am a long time beginner and this was so easy and fun to make. I did however use a smaller hook and found the blankets much thicker.

Thank you for this video! I’ve crocheted for years but have difficulty reading patterns. I wanted something “brainless” to do while watching TV as I have a hard time sitting still. After trying several other stitches and a couple of patterns, this one just clicked right in my brain. I increased the width to 88 stitches and added another skein as my husband wanted it bigger. I have loved making this blanket. Looks great. Cosy. Heavy which I like but it’s not one days work. Certainly not for a beginner. I’ve been doing a couple of hours a day for about 7 nights now. I’m on my last ball of yarn so maybe another 4 hrs at least. I guess if you sat for 24 hrs you could almost be done 😂
