Crochet Tutorial - How To Make a Square Motif Earring 

you have to start in the beginning with the right amount or the rest will be a miscount. the first chain 3 counts as a stitch. after that you have to add 15 double crochets. This also happens to me sometimes. There are times I have to watch the video or read the instructions a bunch of times when its not right. Sooner or later I can figure out where/what i'm doing wrong. Don't give up!!! listen closely to the video.

I don't see why not. if the #8 is a thicker yarn, the earring will come out bigger.

you can make another ball with the one you have so you can have 2 balls and work with 2 strands. Or you rewind it with a yarn ball winder. Its what I use cause I get the inside end and the outside end.

Yes, I use #10 but I use 2 strands. I double it because I want the item to come out thicker. You can also use #3 and you wont need to use a double strand because its a bit heavier.

Thats what I did. They seem to have better colors in 10.

The pink ones in the picture were done in #3.

Nice color. I just made a pair yesterday in purple with 3. Right now Im watching the Square beaded earring.

Im so really sorry about that but if I go too slow I bore the ones that already know. I have videos in my channel that will show how to make the common first stitches.

I really would like to make my granddauhter some earing she is only 8 so I would not want them to be to big. Do you hve a video that I might try? Love your work. Just getting use to useing tiny thread and yard LOL

Have you tried my flower petal tutorial? It's a dainty flower crocheted with #3 thread. If it's too big, you can replace the triple/treble crochet stitch and make double crochets instead. When making the petals, Chain 3 instead of 4. That should give you a smaller flower.
