I wrote this pattern because I am a diehard Starbucks fan. The one thing I don’t love, is sweaty cups. That is why these cozies are absolutely perfect to use! Everyone will want one! I use a basic single crochet stitch. You will also need to have a basic knowledge with;
-magic ring
-sc increase
-working in a round
I hope you enjoy! Coffee tags come from angieandbritt.com
You can find the full written pattern on Etsy: funkythumbcrochet.etsy.com
**Here is the hook I use for my cozies. *Disclaimer: Clicking this link will send a portion of the sales my way.

These yarns work great for cozies.

Thank you for this tutorial. My husband wanted one for his drinking glass and this will do nicely. He already has a crocheted can Koozie. Thanks for making it easy to follow, as well!!

@FunkyThumbCrochet I realized that I needed to start my back loop sc sooner but still did everything else the same. The final count is, obviously, smaller. Fit my glass like a glove. Hubby loved it. The last stitch, the backward sc (?) Was awkward at first but still easy! You're an awesome teacher. Of course, I still have to use a stitch marker to always remember my 1st stitch😉.

This pattern can be altered for many different cups! Wait till you see the Ice Cream Pint Cozies! I'm glad it turned out so well for ya....and that backwards sc?.....is my fav. I use it all the time!

Thanks for the pattern! I used the Big Twist Cotton yarn and find it is pilling a little and wondered what yarn you recommend and I love the colored yarns you use on your Etsy site!
@FunkyThumbCrochet
@FunkyThumbCrochet 2 года назад
I've never tried the bigtwist cotton. I will now, though, just to see if it does the same for me. I definitely always use either "I love This Cotton Yarn" found at Hobby Lobby, or Sugar n' cream 100% cotton found at Joann. Those are the ones I use for my Etsy page. Even Micheals and Walmart have their own brands of 100% cotton that I highly recommend. Thanks!!!!!

Thank you for the pattern. I was looking for something simple and functional to use and this fit just right. I love the red color on the completed sleeve you show at the beginning of the video. I must ask, what yarn and color is that?
@FunkyThumbCrochet

Glad you like the pattern. The yarn I used on the cup at the beginning is from Hobby Lobby. It is the I love this cotton yarn brand. I don’t have any on hand right now but I do know it has a sock monkey on the package. It may even be called sock monkey. There is also a brown color that is just like this that is really nice as well.

I've made a couple of these and they fit the cups just fine. I actually bought the pattern off your ravelry. I mistakenly made them without ch1 and the slst and they worked just fine but the one I'm making now wanted to follow the instructions 100%. I was a bit confused because it's been adding more stitches than i need and i wanted to figure out where i was going wrong so came to your RU-vid tutorial. at the beginning you said you didn't want to be repetitive with saying the slst and ch1 lol the exact thing I came here for! Would be no problem except the white cotton is hard to see even when I slow down the video. I love the pattern anyways and will figure it out.

oh no! I'm so sorry! Also, I was using my older iphone and have since upgraded. I will be more than happy to send you some updated pictures with close ups if that will help? Also, the count at the end of each round on the pattern is in ( ) at the end. I always count my stitches after each round, just in case. Another place that an extra stitch could be added by accident is if you are putting one in the very last stitch (or the slst of the previous round). Send me your email and we will figure it out together. I can always add more pics to the pattern and send you an updated version

@FunkyThumbCrochet For rounds 11-18, do you slip stitch and chain one before going to the next round? I count 36 sc but at the end of my round I have 2 extra stitches...what am I doing wrong? I'm at the beginning of round 14.
@FunkyThumbCrochet
@FunkyThumbCrochet Год назад
Yes, all the rounds end with a slip stitch. As for the extra stitches, all I can think of at the moment is maybe there is an increase somewhere there shouldn’t be. Or, if you are working into the slip stitch of the previous row as your last single crochet.
@brendagalvin5843

@@FunkyThumbCrochet so just a slip stitch and not followed by a chain one for rounds 11-18?

What cup size is this for? Venti only? Thank you for the tutorial!
@FunkyThumbCrochet
@FunkyThumbCrochet 2 года назад
I use it on the to go ventis at starbucks. Also, it works on their plastic reusable cold cups (24oz). They sell them in the store for around $3-$4 ea. I have also found that it works on a large frappe cup from McDonalds. You can alter the pattern to fit any cup size by adding rows and increases as well. Be creative! Hope this helps!

About how much yarn does this pattern use of the sugar and cream yarn?
@FunkyThumbCrochet
@FunkyThumbCrochet Год назад
If you are using the 4oz ball of yarn, you could possibly get 2 cozies. It’s been some time now since I’ve made a bunch of these back to back so I’m just reaching way back into the memory bank!
