Easy to follow instruction on how to crochet your vest. For women and men.
Size Large: back panel: 60 chains wide and 50 rows high. Side panel is 30 chains wide and 37 rows high, 9 reducing rows and 4 strap rows.
Size Medium: back panel: 54 chains wide and 45 rows high. Side panel is 27 chains wide and 34 rows high, 7 reducing rows and 4 strap rows.

Says do 26 rows but then you said you counted 37 high before reducing.. Can you clarify please.

Try 63 for xl or 66 for xxl, but remember that you will have to add 2 more for the turnaround.

I don't think so, as the stitch forms a pattern and it has its own spacing. You can measure the chain and try it, but you will have to figure out all the rest. Good luck.
