You know those plastic crates store have? Well,,,,,, I have 57 of those full of yarn! So, ummm,,, I have no business judging anyone about their yarn stash! Lol!!! In my defense I have collected yarn for 40 years! I've kept it covered, clean, safe! None of it is harmed! I have made 32 blankets so far and many smaller projects. Ill be donating it all to the senior citizens when I pass on as I have terminal cancer. That it will be used makes me happy! 😃😃😃😃😃😃
I bet you have some pretty cool yarn though 😍 aww that is a sweet way to donate the yarn. I’m sure the senior citizens will be so happy to get to create with it. Sending love 🩷
I need to organize my yarn stash too. I dont have as much because i dont have much space for it, but I definitely have a bunch of tiny scrap balls scattered between three bins. I usually try to untangle as much as I can, but if it starts knotting, the scissors come out 😂
Hi my name is Alice and I'm a yarn addict...but I don't see it as a problem🤫. What I did was I winded all of the yarn (tags inside the yarn) and since my hubs and I finallyt became empty nester we or I have more room to organize my stash. You got this friend. Happy holidays my peeps🎄
Hi Alice ☺️ yarn is great!! There’s definitely no problem with having lots of yarn. I just was shocked I had so much when I finally put it all together 🤭 also for me, I’m running out of space to put it haha. Winding it is a good idea!!! Happy Holidays to you too 🥰
New subscriber here! I keep all my in 30 qt totes. I just moved too, and I took the opportunity to reorganize, destash, and inventory. Ugh. I’m down to 10 totes of natural fibers stash (1 fingering, 3 DK, 4 worsted, 2 bulky), 4 large WIPs in totes, 3 smaller WIPs in bags, and 8 Kallax cubes full of my acrylics. Frogged a couple of WIPs I was never gonna finish and feel a *ton* lighter now. I’m on a “shop from my stash” mission this year too! I’d really like to get down by, say, a third of my current stash by the end of the year. Might be a pipe dream. 😊
I sorted mine out too, mine was in bags. I got another two storage bins. I got to at least detangle frog projects and in one bin I put all my scraps and used skeins. and two I used for new balls. and sorted my projects in carry bags that zip closed. They're smaller bins that fit under my bed so it's not a huge collection but it got bigger than I could handle and had to organise it 😂
Untangler here. Hate hate hate cutting my yarn but also I'm anal about only working on one project at a time then dealing with my ends before restashing.
@@emz.stitches there's a new guy in RU-vid and his channel is: Juan The Yarn Addict. I'm absolutely floored by the way he has his yarn organized! He has some new tetorials. You ought to check him out. Tysm for sharing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and you. Have a great day!
It’s a mix not getting around to it + I’m a little nervous/intimidated to venture into the knit world. I want to open my sentro soon though! I was thinking about making a video of opening it and my first times using it, stay tuned ☺️❤
Thank you for letting me know about the sound!!! I will make sure to raise it in future videos, I tend to be a quiet talker (+ loud background noise) is not a good combo ❤❤
