Im working on a granny square coat while I watch. I've sewn them together as diamonds for the body. Then the sleeves are also the granny stitch but going around, i'm working on my second sleeve. The granny squares are bright pink, dark pink, pinky purple, purple, blue and black around the edge. The colours are based on the colours of a galaxy. The sleeves are black and have stripes at the top using the colours in the granny squares. Its turning out GORGEOUS! I will post in the group to show everyone when its done. Im thinking of lining it with purple or black satin. Ive been working on it for months but its so worth it. Sending love and hugs🌻

Hello Mama Kayla, fur babies and community members. It's been really cold and wet for weeks but 2day rhe sun came out😁☀️ and it was only cool and all our animals, domesticated and native were clearly happy too ! 💗🙏I know over there u r so hot but here in Australia🇦🇺 in NSW where our farm is, it has not been warm for months. So it's a really lovely weather change 2day. Not that I have been up to going outside😂 but I'm enjoying watch all the animals from my windows. I am working on finishing a crochet granny square bog for my mother 2day as I visit with u Mama Kayla and friends.I am so glad u got to spend time with Angela, that is great for your soul and u r blessed to have each other. My bestie died from horrible aggressive Cancer in 2013😢 but I nursed her until the end and that was a special privilege. But I miss her and us being together so much, we could laugh and laugh, and it never took much to entertain us. She was my 2 sons other mother and she left a huge hole in our lives. Thankfully we know she is in Heaven and at peace and we will met again one day. Love and prayers 💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏

Maybe your cat was telling the phone to shut up! Old friends are the best! I had one that we met in 4th grade and with only a short break after high school until I had my boys. Then we both moved back and resumed where we left off!

I have been crocheting beach bags out of all the scrap yarn, thread, ribbon and lace that I have dug out of craft closet. I had inherited some big boxes of sewing, tapestry, needlepoint etc. My hands just balk at using a needle anymore so those boxes have been taking up space. I have no yarn budget and it hit me that I could use that stuff for baskets. Well, my first basket got too big and turned into a beach bag. The girls loved it. So now I am clearing out some boxes of material I just cant use for it's intended purpose and they are real cute.

Hi Kayla, your sweaters are so pretty. Our temps have been in hitting 100. The heat is zapping my energy. It is difficult to keep the sunroom cool in the afternoon and that is where I have my work area set up. I am working on a bag and a basket now. Yesterday I made a list of acquisitions and so far I have 14. Crazy! Good thing crocheting helps my pain a little. I am so happy for you spending time with Angela. In March I lost my friend of 60 years. I really miss her. I am sending love and prayers to you and your sweet family. ❤

You need inspiration for art projects, well I will have to just send you photos of me. 😂 Kids art is wonderful. They aren’t old enough to be worldly jaded. I met two girls who were only able to use supplies that were available to them. For canvases they had acoustical ceiling tiles. They made use of house paint and brushes. The pieces the girls created won awards here in Washington state. Children’s art is really a passion of mine.

Hi Kayla, I’m working on another blanket, finished the other one and started a poncho top, but didn’t like the way it was turning out, so put it away and started my blanket. It is turning out beautiful double crochet 2 stitches together in 2 spaces, skip 2spaces and repeat across. I’m using red heart Latte stripe. I can’t wait to finish it. I went grocery shopping at Walmart this morning and bought one skein of RHSS yarn in Scuba ombré. Main purpose for that was to make a bag by Pamela’s Adoring Crochet. I’m working presently on a junk journal and a Christmas tree skirt for our tree. Love your sweater. ❤

I am so happy you got to hang out with your best friend all morning. I so get the falling asleep trying to do something after you have had an intense morning or day. I was that way yesterday late afternoon and evening after having to be outside in the sun doing errands, I am allergic to sunlight so avoid going out early unless I am on a mission or need to do so, rolls eyes. I took several naps and early bed. It is why I am up early for me today. Have you tried one of those talk to text apps or keyboard additives? Sometimes it is there under adaptation on your phone, laptop or tablet. You have very good enunciation so it shouldn't take long for it to adjust. It will then type for you while you speak. Most of the time it gets it right. (It doesn't for me but my disability coordinator said it was because how I speak, as I don't have an accent being that I grew up multilingual. I give the software a hardtime).

Hi Kayla, Sue from Michigan here. You are right, it is insensitive on our part to expect you to answer by typing. Maybe just a heart or thumbs up to show that you did read the message. Being a newcomer, I wasn’t sure what was an appropriate expectation. Now I know, and I still like your channel. ❤ I am working on a knitted hat for my granddaughter, age 2, a Sesame Street Abby character on top. Then a sampler afghan. I got it from Annie’s Kits monthly club, 10 years ago, 30 squares, and never started it. Why? Cuz it’s 4 shades of brown, tan gray, etc. Meh. Not for me. However my daughter Andrea loves neutrals. So she will do hers with the premier yarn, and I’ll follow along but use my big twist twinkle yarn from Joann’s, all pastels with metallics, pink yellow blue purple green and white. I’m like you, I want to finish this hat so I can start the sampler. Both your hat and sweater are very pretty….. I just checked out your yarn clean up video, it said that it was private.
