I love your DIY yarn valet. I saw the different types that people were buying and showing on RU-vid, but I am not spending that much money on one. My husband has a 3D printer (his hobby). So, I showed him what I was wanting and he printed a few for me. Then I saw the wooden ones used to hold the yarn on your wrist. I showed those to my husband and he made his own design and printed a couple for me. He even posted (whatever they call the 3D printing files) online for people to download for free. Mine are on the small side. So, I will keep your idea in mind if I ever have a huge skein or cake.
