I've got 4 boys and 1 girl by an amazing African American man. I am so uncultured when it comes to hairstyles for girls!! This is the first video that I UNDERSTAND and actually feel I can DO. Thank you so very much! And my daughter found this video & sent it to me, so she thanks you too! Again, thank youuuuu!! 🙏🏽
I live in a small, predominantly white, town. I'm also a Mother of a beautiful curly gurly who desperately wants braids so here I am lol. I was able to order Kenekolan hair online and have been studying RU-vid videos to try to learn a technique that is easy to understand. Thank you so much for making this video!!! I absolutely love this method and can't wait to get to work! Other videos I've found have made me feel so intimidated. The way you have explained this has me wanting to learn so much more! Thanks again! New subscriber!!! 💖
Proud of you White-but-woke Mama! When I was a kid all the mixed girls had such struggle hair until they were old enough to do it themselves becajse the moms didn't have resources and youtube wasnt teally a thing in the early 2000s. But you taking the TIME to embrace your daughter with our shared culture is GOALS! You go mama!
I was just in my cousin inbox trying to see if she was up this morning to do some box braids, then I stumble across this video I'm about to do my own hair😩.. thank you! I am now subscribe 😉
Thank you so much. You are a life saver. My nieces dumb mom tried to relax her hair. Enough said. The girl is twelve mom wants to shave the back. Niece wants to grow it back. Now I can help her. Thank you so much.
I am Brazilian and my English is a work in progress, then I don't understand everything you said, but the way you did that, helped me understand how I can braid using this method. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
This method makes a lot of sense. Me myself has short hair around my head. This actually helps me better to do my box braids on my short hair. I give it two👍👍. Great job!
I Love this method. Thank you, because like you said nobody has time for that.hahaha...braids falling off or on the floor and we may have paid 200 or more. You are very right. Thanks again for the method. I dig it.
Thank you so much for making this video. I had the hardest time trying to find ways to appropriately hold the extensions with my fingers then applying it to a box braid. Also, great method in adding hair to the hair itself. I made box braiding short hair much easier.
I want to thank you so much because one of my braids came out before school started and I was crying but then this method has help me put it back in thank you so much🙌🏾
Thanks for sharing this information. I have a very thin fine grade of hair and I think this method just might work for me. MY Sisters are SO talented and creative!!! 👏👏GOD BLESS YOU!!!
I didn't get it until you said clients with alopecia/short hair. Very helpful once it "made sense" lol. A tip in the tool box for those dilemmas or problem areas.
I think you are brilliant! You’ve solved my biggest hair problem. Due to genetics, and possible medication, my hair is short in one spot. Thank you for giving me hope!
God Bless you! I just got crochet Box braids and lost 4 braids already on my short hair in bk. But even I can put them back in myself, b/c u showed how thoroughly. Thank You!!!!!!
Thank you so much was so mad with myself that i didnt know how to do my my four year old hair for years, i looked at this video and now im on the four row. Thank you thank you thank you.
hi! I really appreciate that you showed a method that prevents slipping on short hair! i did a big chop recently and my hair is 2 inches and ive been looking into getting box braids but was afraid i would pay a lot of money just for them to fall out so quickly or not be able to be put in at all! i'm going to TRY doing my hair myself at home and if this works than amazing and thank you so much and if it doesnt im going to try going to a salon maybe my hair will be long enough for a different method (corn rows with weave)
Girllllllllllllll that is just an amazing idea. Thank you soooo much and it looks so freaking easy and it’s tight but not tight as it would have been with you braiding it from the roots. I did my sister hair in big braids and it was hard for me to braid it and to hide the rubber band but with this method.....GIRL I LOVVVVEEEE it. Thanks 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I didn’t want to leave without saying THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I can’t wait to offer this to my clients with shorter hair! You gained a subscriber 😉 I’ll be watching you ! May God continue to bless you
did this method last night. game changer!!! thank you for sharing your knowledge sister. i did jumbo box braids on myself in like 3 hours and it was my first time. i can cornrow and plait i just could never figure out how to get the hair connected and the rubber band method still wasn’t enough so again thank you sooo much for sharing this.
Awwww thank you so much!!!! I'm so excited to hear this method worked for you!!!!! It definitely gives me the motivation to keep producing more techniques that will be useful for you guys. ❤
Yes, I try to control my fingers to make a tight consistent braid with less tension on my hands. Too much tension isn't good for the hands it still cause pain later. ❤
Thank You so much! My stylist braided my hair and left the short part undone. I was not that confident when I left the salon but I came home and found you and with the help of my sister. I used your technique and now have braids where there was none. It was just hair there. I feel 100% better. Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
Wow... it look easy to me. Thank you so much for sharing videos. My middle hair has bald, just permanently 2 inches since many years and I can’t find anything idea until I were watch and shocked perfect hopefully it will help . Once again thank you so much!
That is too funny God is speaking to me. I promise you I've never seen this video and while watching before you came back to explain the last method I had just said in my head that was away to do it with out rubber band and I be dang if you didn't come back and do exactly as I thought in my head except for splitting it in two. Lord Jesus I'm excited because I've been thinking of making a channel and I keep not really getting serious so thank you.
Great job. I absolutely love the final method that you came up with and I was finally able to grasp how to hold the braid hair to start the braid. Thank you sooooo much for sharing.
I have no idea why 1000 people disliked this video. You are very good at your craft and you got the camera in some good angles so we could see what you were doing. You explained every movement like a pro. I think you got a thousand haters sweetie! Keep up the great work... new sub here👈✌✌
This why s genius would have never “thunk” 🤣 it myself. I wanna try this on my toddler for the summer in a shorter braid with the bobos and barrettes hope I can do it 🤗
Thank you so much for showing us how you do the back of her hair. It was hard trying to do the back of my own head and when I tried your method it worked out. I'm going to church the morning looking fabulous lol thx again
Like this video a lot. I think this crochet method would be easier for ppl like me that can't do the traditional method for box braids Btw! Such a calming voice and lovely attitude, not annoying and extra!
Amazing!! Your technic was easy I believe I can do my own. Illness made me lose hair and I’ve always loved braids since my childhood but they’re too thin. My hair is growing back and I believe this would be best for me. Thank you!❤
