Crocheting a Granny Square Blanket 

That my dear is the most beautiful granny square blanket I have ever seen. My grandmother taught me when I was five and I am almost sixty and I have to say you did an awesome job... I love the colors you chose. Just beautiful...

I'm not an expert, but I've seen blankets less well made win prizes at a country fair. Those colors are exquisite together and that is one beautiful blanket.

Your cat under the covers made me laugh. Not sure why exactly but the lump moving towards you as you worked was super cute.

12:50 girl, I don’t know if the example you showed us here is the way you crochet 100% of the time, but if it is, that is the reason your hand cramps,every single time you finish a granny square. You can use one or more of your fingers on your working hand to stabilize the yarn that’s on your hook, so you don’t have to move your wrist around nearly as much in order to keep it there.

Bianca I crochet since I was 7, I am 50 now. I use my hands differently when crocheting, I never get blisters. Anyways, I adore your blanket, it’s gorgeous!!!! Thank you for the great video ❤

He or She made me laugh, when it was running all under the Blanket & then pops up & out. Your expression was sooo funny, too. I wish I still had All my Cats with me. I Started with 10 then it went down to 8. And now it's 0. Cause, they All eventually went up to Heaven & are giving God & Jesus a lot of fun Laughs, now. So, Please, I know you dearly Love your Cat. I made a full size sunflower granny square blanket last year and got SO tired of making all the small squares! Next time I make something with granny squares I'm going with much larger squares which equals much less work joining them. I crocheted mine together instead of sewing them together but it wasn't any easier. I don't think there's really an easy way to do it...joining granny squares is a pain either way, especially trying to find a comfy position to do so. Your blanket turned out very pretty though! I'd say the discomfort was worth it 😘😀

I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been crocheting for 40 years and all I do is granny squares, usually 1 big granny square baby blankets with a ruffle border. But, your blanket is absolutely gorgeous and looks so beautiful on your bed. Great job!

I’ve just seen this video now. Have you tried ergonomic hooks - something with padding - it definitely helps with hand cramping. I taught myself to hold the hook like a knife rather than a pencil in order to use them. Made a big difference. Clover Amour are my favourites. Susan Bates has ergonomic ones too, or you might be able to buy a foam thingy to slip on the hook you already have. It’s a beautiful blanket!

Hold your hook like a knife and let you yarn flow through your fingers on your other hand and you won't have cramps or blisters afterward. There are tutorials that show this. Happy crocheting.

Beautiful blanket, I'm going to use all my very small balls of wool, the only problem you put the squares together so fast and not close up so we can't see how you do it. You do show us how to put the boarder on.

the blanlet is gourgous, although you moght want to start holding your yarn a little different. I used to hold my yarn the exact same way and it started hurting soo bad, dont want that to happen to you! try letting the yarn pass over the top of your finger.
