I made myself an oversized cardigan, I used chunky yarn so thought it won't take me that long ......... Probably around 6 months to a year later I finally finished it 🤣😂🙈 I did have a couple months break in between but still 🙈
Right? It makes me feel like the slowest crocheter. It takes me so long to finish even the smallest projects. My biggest issue is staying awake. I have a sleep disorder, so I'm constantly nodding off when I try to crochet. It's incredibly frustrating.
@@janeenschultz8502 it depends on the airline/airport and the length of the blade! Last time I was flying Lufthansa from Heathrow to Munich. My sewing scissors have a very short blade so they had a look at them but let me take them on the flight. I am British so my main experience is with European airlines but I was able to take them on a Virgin flight to and from New York. I just keep all my knitting supplies in its own separate bag within my hand luggage so it’s very clear what the scissors are for. They said the blades weren’t long enough to be deemed not allowed in hand luggage. I’ve never had any problems but maybe European airports aren’t as strict as they are elsewhere!
@@janeenschultz8502 depends on the airport. heathrow london allows under 6cm blades (e.g. facial scissors) but some airlines say no scissors at all. nail clippers work very well to cut yarn but also check your airline because I know air india for example doesn't allow those either.
@@Xiumi0 lol it was hard when i was learning. once you know your stitches you can make whatever you want. i dont follow tutorials i just do my own thing
My mom tried to teach me when I was in middle school and we just ended up arguing like a minute in. Fast forward like ten years and I send her all this crochet stuff I want her to make and she was like why don’t you try learning again. So I tried RU-vid this time so we don’t argue and I lasted a whole five minutes before I gave up 😭😭
@@MadzEd1ts I've looked as well and sadly, I don't think she is size inclusive. There could be a ton of reasons why she's not, I'm guessing she doesn't have time to create that many sizes for each of her tops maybe.
@@MadzEd1ts I wasn't implying anything. Size inclusive means super tiny to super big. If I remember right, she was selling S, M, & L on the 1-2 designs I looked at. That's all I mean. & I could be wrong on her sizing system. I only looked on her site once.

That could be motivation if you have a bunch of crochet supplies and don’t want to use them but don’t want to waste them. Just don’t bring any tops so you have to use the supplies lol
@@its.ellegraceI did something similar on a vacation. I brought tops and other things, but I refused to bring a swimsuit cover even though I will never go out without one. It was to motivate me to make one and I did! 3 of them actually, and I loved crocheting by the pool despite the weird looks I was getting.
I started crocheting about six months ago and never realized how much I was going to love it and how much it eases my anxiety. I hope I’m this fast someday. Those tops are gorgeous!
Even if you don’t get fast it still provides a benefit for you so enjoy it. I’ve been at it for about 10 years now and I don’t think I’m any faster than when I started. My tension is a lot better now though.
Girl I need to see a video on your technique, I feel like I move my yarn tensioning hand way too much and it slows me down, so crocheting takes twice as long as it should

@@pinkjellybeans00can confirm. I pushed through the pain in my wrists and fingers thinking it would go away and gave my self carpal tunnel. I couldn't do anything for myself for months without causing excruciating pain. Even just sitting and doing nothing with ice pack braces and sleeping in braces I was in so much pain. I even needed help dressing myself. 😭 please take care of your self and take breaks
I think she just means that you de-board really early in the morning (at the end of the trip) so if your flight isn't until later in the morning/afternoon, you have to wait a long time at the airport.
that's what I was wondering. My husband and I were not able to board for our cruise 2 years ago becausei lost my passport. So I wouldn't know, but that explanation makes perfect since. the tops are gorgeous. I wish I still had my my pre- pregnancy belly because I would love to wear one. Come to think of it aside from the road map I wear on my stomach,I don't know if that might be a little young for a 49 year old- in any shape. Thoughts?

❤❤❤not joking all I say this, this video encouraged me to stop making plushes which I hated and start making crochet tops, because I hated making a little animals I got tired of it. It’s just a single crochets all over and I started to make crocheted tops, and other clothing I would’ve quit if I continue to make animals. It’s so boring and then I found this video and you encouraged me to continue on and clothing now I am planning to make a business when I turn 18 thank you so much❤❤❤
@@picklesandoxfordcommas those things are made out of yarn. Yarn can have loose strings. Wouldn’t that be uncomfortable? Also, there’s so gaps. And if you have a hairy 🐱….
They’re allowed on most flights but with all crafting supplies I always say don’t take your favourite tools in your carry on because they could be taken at security even if they’re allowed as per their rules. It’s always going to come down to the individual running it that day. Always double check your airports and airlines rules though. Even small scissors are allowed on most flights😁
I was using a wooden hook and had no trouble getting it on the plane, a lady had a metal one and they confiscated it (it was the same flight) so I guess on some airlines it depends on the material

usually on the last day of the cruise you have to be off the ship by like 10 am haha so i dont think they were literally kicked off but maybe theres some tea 🤷♀️
