Where Im going with this is, if you are close enough, we would LOVE to have you join us! Dont have to be a Holiday either! We do weekends as well. Always a Sunday meal we go all out on! Blessings to you, Sir! Fran
@@BatOneTwo hi Leslie I have been looking for a chicken Crock-Pot recipe and found this one I'm going to try it this week I think it will be really good
Fellow singleton. Love using my crock pot for batch cooking, then portioning it out into tupperwares for the freezer. I will use boneless/skinless ckn thighs cut into large chunks, and sub in cream of celery soup.
I made this tonight for my wife's birthday with mashed potatoes, gravy , and greenbeans. My wife loves Thanksgiving food. We all loved it thanks for posting this.
A crockpot is a must have in the Southern USA. I use mine all summer long so that I never have to turn on the oven when it’s 90-100 degrees outside. An air fryer is also a great appliance to have when you want a hot meal but don’t want to overheat the kitchen.
I made this tonight, delicious! And so easy since it's a crockpot meal. Honestly, I would be satisfied making this on Thanksgiving instead of cooking in the kitchen for 5 hours
My wife has never been a huge cook, and four years ago she had encephalitis and suffered from a mini stroke. Fortunately she didn't lose mobility, but now I can talk faster than her. :) Anyway she bought chicken for our Thanksgiving meal, this really looks good. I wonder if I can use an instant pot for it?
My mom would make stuffed turkey dinner several times a year - it was cheap and we loved it. I tend to prefer roast chicken now even for holidays because I love my dressing and gravy and the chicken lasts for days.
Oh my word,,, this is my answer to this year’s thanksgiving meal, I”ll have NO problem preparing sides while that is cooking! CAN’T WAIT!!!! Praise God!
Oh my! I have waited to try this until I got the ingredients together. it is OUTSTANDING! And so easy!!! My boyfriend loves it, even my spoiled cat had some and he loved it. This is going to be a "make often" recipe at our house. This is the first of your videos I've watched and the first recipe I've tried, but it definitely won't be the last. I am stuffed to the gills and my mouth still wants some more! I shared it with my whole extended family. Thanks, super thanks!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't stand for more than 15 - 20 minutes at a time anymore, so pretty much everything I cook is now done in a crockpot. This will be our Thanksgiving Dinner with a turkey breast in another crockpot! I made this recipe once, and it was more than a hit, it was a home run! I can't thank you enough! God bless you richly!
I ran across your channel Sunday and made Chicken and stovetop in the crockpot, My husband loved it and even said add this one to your rotation!! Thank you so much!! You now have a new friend in North Georgia!! ❤️🙋♀️
Greetings from Australia. We do Christmas in July because it is our winter. We normally swelter through December and have a seafood, salads, pavlova, trifle etc for our December Christmas celebrations.
I’ve been making lots of different versions of this!! Been doing a bruschetta one! If your interested 😍 Rotel, cream of celery, cream of chicken, chicken broth, sour cream and cream cheese…. Chicken and vegetables, stove top stuffing, mozzarella, Italian seasoning Italian dressing on my chicken!! Omg!! It’s so good!!
I make a Thanksgiving meatloaf - ground turkey with poultry seasoning, sautéed celery, onion and sometimes apple and the butter they’re sautéed in. Plus egg, milk & plain breadcrumb. Yummy!
Yumm!! I'm making this for Thanksgiving with green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, & pumpkin pie... thanks for sharing this 💕
This is such a great idea! My husband loves stuffing mix, but I don’t make it very often, certainly not in the summer. Now he - we- can enjoy this type of meal year round. I’m always looking for new crock pot recipes. Thank you!
I cubed my chicken breasts since I don't like the pulled chicken thing and then completely followed your recipe. Delicious!!! I loved that it was in a crock pot and I didn't have to cook. That's always a winner. I couldn't believe it would be done so quickly, but it absolutely was. The stuffing was yummy and the chicken was not dry. This is a great recipe and I'll be making it again. I'd also like to cast my vote for being taught to make 'cream of' soups. I use them all the time and would like to can some to have on hand.
Good morning it’s been a long time I’ve had 3 heart attacks and 3 strokes but I’m still alive. I’ve missed you and your husband ❤❤ Bob C. Says have a great week and Congratulations on your remodeling ❤
Oh, I also want to thank you for writing everything under your video. Makes it easier when going grocery shopping. I surely appreciate that extra work, you do ! ☺😚😃
TIP: Best way to butter cob corn is get you a nice piece of sliced sandwich bread, butter it good with your room temperature butter or margarine, put your bread in your open, flat hand, then lay your cob across the center of the bread like a hot dog. Roll the cob in the bread (from the end that’s poking out) while slightly squeezing up the sides of the bread (like you was eaten a hot dog), then remove the cob…..which is now saturated with butter!! Finish by folding the bread in half (butter side in) and enjoy eating it with your meal. Sprinkle a little Old Bay Seasoning on your hot buttered cob and go to town finishing it off and washing it down with sweet tea!! THAT right there is the Southern Virginia (country) way of eating your cob corn that we teach our children how to do when they’re knee high!! Enjoy
This method of buttering corn was shown in the movie "WarGames" with matthew broderick. HIs dad buttered the corn this way. I think that's just a waste of bread. I just leave the butter frozen ... and spin each cob of corn on the frozen stick of butter.
@@johnjacobjinglehimerschmid3555 agreed just a waste of bread. They make a corn buttering tool ment just for buttering corn on the cob. No mess and you can apply as much or as little butter as you want like i said, with no mess!
Yes!! I’m disabled(amputee) and both shoulders and can’t cook on the stove or in the oven. I do as much as possible in my crockpot, don’t follow a recipe just add and taste(learned from my sweet Mama). This looks so easy and delicious ❤️😋
Going to make this soon. Weather is too hot to stay in the kitchen very long. Please make the cream of soups very soon. I have company coming soon who has to eat gluten free due to celiac disease. You can buy the gluten free soups but I found them to be very pricey…..like $4.00 a can! I’m sure I could figure out how to make a cream soup and convert it to gluten free but a recipe would be easier. Your remodel is just beautiful!
Oh what a Great recipe and easy one for us elderly ones that disabled Thank you I know what I’m making tonight Thanks again By the way I enjoyed your video very much Not lengthy made the one recipe not a bunch for us old people that can’t remember anything 😊
I came across this video and loved the fact that it only takes about 4 hours in the Slow Cooker. While I was out grocery shopping a few hours later, I picked out what you had in the video and also happened upon a bag of Mini Tater Tots, which I will add when I make this tomorrow. Thank you for this idea and I hope you and your family are doing well.
I seen a church sign outside of the church one day that read "How will you spend Eternity? Smoking or Non Smoking? " That was the most funniest sign i have ever seen on a church sign in my life. Not that people will be going to hell. But just the way they put it. Lol
Looks delicious! The only thing missing is the cranberry sauce. Crockpot meals are great in the summer when you are busy and it is too hot to use the stove. I will definitely try this one. Thank you!
Looks good and best of all it's in a crockpot,it's been 100° all week in Colorado,so been making simple meals and this is definitely one I'm trying.Have good rest of the night.💜💕
This was so good!! It smelled good walking in the door, and tasted even better. Very affordable also. I already had all of the ingredients. Will definitely make again!!
I just crave thanksgiving food sometimes. Thanks so much for this recipe! Im definitely trying this out right away. I’m now going to butter my corn that way now…
It's become one of my families most requested meals. Economical and EASY!!! Sometimes I add more stuffing and cream of chicken to have more gravy/sauce. I also use the crock pot liner bags so there is no clean up. Thank you for sharing this special easy Thanksgiving recipe for us folks!!!
I wonder, if this could be used as the base for a Cornbread Southern Style Chicken & Dressing for a large Thanksgiving meal🤔. Just thinking your crockpot recipe (such a great idea!) could be set up to cook during the night and be ready by Thanksgiving morning, then mix with crumbled cornbread and chicken broth and 2 sticks of melted butter to flavor and sufficiently hydrate and bake in 350 oven to brown.
I made this last night and it is so good. My husband requested we have the leftovers tonight. Then he asked for the recipe so he could send it to various friends and family. I knew he liked it but I didn't realize how much he liked it till he asked for the recipe. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's delicious and goes together so quickly too!
There's a restaurant near Boston that makes a "Thanksgiving Lasagna" come the fall. You can guess the ingredients {hint: no tomato sauce or hamburger or cheese!}.
In the winter time in upstate new York, I do that and put it in the oven. You use a baking dish, cover the bottom with some of cream of mushroom soup mixture, put the stuffing down the center. Then place the chicken along side the stuffing. Cover with foil and bake 350 for about 45 mins
This is my first time watching you and I didn't even get in to it that much and I just had to subscribe to you thank you for all you do and God bless you
Made this for dinner tonight. It gets a 10 out of 10 for taste and simplicity. My husband said it was a keeper. I love being able to make a great meal without having to heat up my kitchen. Thanks for sharing with us.
This is one of my favorite comfort foods. Growing up in the midwest we called it turkey and dressing sandwiches. And it was an easy way to use leftover turkey and stuffing after Thanksgiving. It usually had gravy mixed into it, but always served in a crock pot. Delicious 💋
I would absolutely love to see you make “cream of” soups. I don’t have the slightest clue on where to start with such a project, so that would be wonderful, Leslie ❤️
Leslie might do it a bit differently, but you can begin by making a roux… melt 2 Tbsp butter in a saucepan… add 2 Tbsp flour… cook 3 to 5 mins… add 1 cup chicken stock … 1 cup milk… Salt, (or poultry seasoning), pepper, celery seed, to taste cook until thickened… voila… cream of chicken starter… You can use this as a gravy, as well… Enjoy..!
Mmm! That looks like a smothered chicken recipe I've got. Only I make it on the stove top. I'd welcome any chance to convert my recipes to the crockpot. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this recipe! I am definitely going to try it when the kids are home for a visit this month. I may add a little bit of cooked Jimmy Dean Sage flavored sausage as that is what we put in our dressing. Good fall recipe on those first brisk nights when it starts to get dark too early!
Jimmy Dean Sage flavored sausage --------> THE Best . When I can't find Sage flavored I'll buy the regular and add my own Sage. ONLY Jimmy Dean >S< I'm so old I used to watch his TV Show ...Loved that man.
I make something like this, but use croutons instead of stuffing mix. Much less salt. Just add a little poultry seasoning or sage. Can also add cubed raw zucchini.
This seems so easy and simple with delish looking results. Thanks for sharing....I now have to try this cause easy cooking without standing over the stove is the magic word for me.
As a single Dad made this several times it’s delicious and Easy - my son loves it- I think I have accounted for several watches - as I write it down but forget where I put it - I did mention I’m single 😂- my wife was in charge of organizing- thanks for keeping the post up for us men-
This looks Amazing! I’ll use thighs, more dressing (not sodium top), adding onions and celery, sage and poultry seasoning. Thanks for the inspiration!!
I agree with your dressing recipe that's how my mama makes it that's no big deal to add at least you know what's in it LOL. I think this recipe could be very versatile and still tastes like Thanksgiving. Thank you for the idea.
Hi Leslie Now with your new kitchen finished please Get out your air fryer and give us some new recipes for frying. By the way I do fry okra in mine. Very crispy and delish.
Christmas in July. The spirit of Christmas. It is a time when charities need help, like our food pantries, without the tradition of giving we see at Christmas
Mmmm! Looked soooo good. I made homemade chicken and dressing, potatoes and corn and canned cranberry sauce a couple of weeks ago for our Christmas in July. Chicken in a bowl would have been soooo much easier. And in the crockpot! Thank you so much for the recipe. Will definitely add it to my list of recipes to make. ❤️❤️
I tried this recipe yesterday in my instant pot using the slow cooker option and it worked great. Very tasty and it warms up the next day perfectly. I'll be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!
