Watching Steve toboggan with the penguins hurt my heart to know this human being is no longer with us. At least we can all know he lived and died doing the thing he loved and shared it with the world
I thought he was going to say noise, light, and air pollution from planes but that is in other countries. Pretty sad how selfish humans are and unless it harms us, we will not change. Even if it does harm us, we look for an excuse to continue even if it harms the animal.
7:06! I HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN THAT EXACT THING!!! apparently in the early 1990's, someone came in in the middle of the night and put this together... the researchers found it the next day! it's the skeleton of a humpback whale put together with bones from several whales!
He lost me when he started talking about the climate change nonsense... Stick to animals, Steve. Number one, its what you're good at, and number two, since this episode aired 17 years ago, we're no closer to being underwater than we were then. When the wealthy, such as Steve, start selling their multi billion dollar real estate that lines the coastlines, THEN we can all start worrying about the rising of the oceans. But seeing as how Australia Zoo sits damn near on the coast and is no more than 75 feet above sea level, I would have thought the Irwins would have sold it off and moved inland decades ago to avoid it being swallowed up by the rising sea.
