its hard to believe it at first almost. A crocodile hunter, yet not killed by crocodiles or sharks, but by a ray. Wildlife so unpredictable, and respect to him for actually braving it1
Low Tech Zalvo And Steve would tell you not to. It's not the ray's fault, it got scared. Plus, you can't just commit genocide on a species just because one did something bad. That's like killing a whole family just because one member did something bad.
@James Marcus If Steve ever came back to life, he'd be the first guy to stop you. He was all about compassion towards animals. Even the big crocs that won't hesitate to bite and kill people for food/self defense or highly venomous and aggressive snakes.
How surreal watching him handle a Ray with love... and I bet if you asked Steve now he would say he loved the ray that killed him. What a loss. Screw PETA for what they said. He loved these animals, even the ones that hurt him.
Jonas Rosenqvist He was not harassing the animals. HE KISSED ONE TOO AND SAID I WON’T HURT YOU. He’s trying to educate people about the beauty of WIld and sea life. I don’t see any harassment.
It was an accident, unfortunately some people loose their lives from dedicating their lives to a cause they are passionate about, something that ignites the fire within them. He was very excellent at what he did though.
@ss25sss steve would NEVER have wanted that at all he would want us to carry on the message and follow his work to protect animals and conservation it was probably the most unfair accident ever but we shouldnt blame the stingrays
Ray: Yo guys I just barbed this dude, think I might of killed him. Other Rays: Damn, who was he? Ray: Idk, I think they said steve irwin. Other Rays: oh... WAIT WHO?!
He just should have stayed on land. He seemed to have more empathy for land animals, was better able to read them, and those great reflexes of his always kept him out of trouble. Reflexes don't help much underwater.
