The only in-game large tractor that doesn't destroy crops is the Case Magnum with twin narrow tires. Found that by accident and is now my all-rounder Case 380 CVX 320kw / 435hp that can fertilize 2nd stage crops and run all but the biggest of the plows and seeders.
Now if they’d just make tires universal instead of each tractor having its own LIMITED selection of tires, that’d be great. I hate using ugly new tractors, but hardly any vintage ones come with narrows.
Is there any advantage to wides, or duals? Or is it just cosmetic. I also dont understand the need for wheel weights. I guess i've been using a heavy enough tractor to which i dont need more rear weight
Some tractors allow a lot of wheel spin without the weights. If you ever notice your wheels struggling to catch grip try the wheel weights. Duals also help with wheel spin, but aren't very practical on a lot of the smaller maps I enjoy. A youtuber by the name of "farmer cop" made a good test video showing the affects of different tire setups.
So obviously the narrow tires do not destroy crops. Makes sense. What about the benefits of having the other tires? I get the weighted tires, but what are the benefits of having the dual/triple wheels vs tracks vs standard vs wide? Do you actually get more pulling power/speed when planting/plowing? Is it just a visual preference?
I have noticed a difference between tracks and wheels, wheels are better in comparison. But i haven't noticed anything between singles, duals and trips
You can gain a little working speed with duals or wheel weights if your current tires are struggling with wheel spin. This only tends to happen in the lighter tractors though. For instance, the JD 40 series tractors benefit a lot from weights and/or duals, especially the 2WD version.

I don't have FS19 yet. But what's the point of wide tires at all? Or dualies? You use them to plow and plant, but you have to have narrow tires to spray?
Can tell you from experience that the communal tyres will destroy crop. On the flip side they also drastically lower diesel consumption when you're running on tarmac.
JCB 4200 is pehaps the best all-arrounder in the game: high speed for goods transport, 4ws & loader for feedlot work, enough hp to handle all but the largest implements, & looks sweet on duals. It's gonna be my loader/logging tractor when I get the game.
lol, I have everything off until i get my farm fully done. I used the money cheat for Xbox and it worked well, i just need time to get everything working,
