Hey y'all! Welcome to the farm! We are in the garden today and have given up on this crop of corn. Come along with "hubby" today as he walks you through and gives some good information for tractor maintenance. And... who would have thought we'd have some escape artists running around here.

@lostribe5130 He does pretty good! 👍 If you put him on a piece of equipment, he's like a kid in a candy store. He loves tinkering around with stuff and figuring things out - I think he got that from his Poppy. They can figure out how to fix just about anything. "Hubby" makes great use out of zip ties. 🤣

Our corn was really bad this year. Only about 1/4 even germinated. Maybe next year. Good job on the tractor

@oatherslegacyfarm Seems like a lot of us are experiencing some difficulty this year due to this crazy weather. We are going to try a different variety in another area and see how it does for us. Thank you for your kind words - I'm still learning the tractor. 😊 I've been enjoying your videos! 👍

Thank you! 😊 I am learning so much being here! I wish I learned a lot of this in my younger years. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing catch up. 🤪But I am enjoying it, and we never stop learning. The tractor is fun to maneuver. Glad I could take you along with me for a ride 😃 I'll get it all figured out one day 🤞We are careful about being in this heat - drinking lots of water and Gatorade! I put garden fencing about a foot out onto the ground attached to the chain fence and it works but it was a mess for mowers. Now they have some 2 ft long wire stakes you can hammer into the ground, but they are expensive. Sometimes concrete blocks will work.

@lostribe5130 That's a pretty smart way to do it! 😃 We've got some pretty stubborn and determined pups! Hopefully when the grass grows through the fencing it will help to secure it more. We just had some gaps at the bottom. Nothing around here is level. 🤣 We've got some electric fencing to put around the bottom - that seemed to help in the smaller area before we expanded it. @lostribe5130 It sure is! What works for some, may not work for others and we can always find other ways and means to do what works best if we just get out and try. Experiment with different things and never be scared to try! 👍
