It is also known as Fairport's Cropredy Convention which was started by the British folk rock band Fairport Convention in 1976.
Fairport's Cropredy Convention gathers up to 20,000 people every year. The festival is placed right on the field. Iain Matthews was one of many great rock and folk singers who performed at the Cropredy main stage. There are also some cozy events, such as Morris dancing in the streets and live music at the village's two pubs.
