Just subscribed, good video, I'm on the 2240 train also, and surprisingly I've been modifying two in ways similar to yours. I have gone down the Diana Chaser path also, because we all know how many air pistols are enough . . . just one more.
1377,1322,2240 I like them all,,they're Legendary air pistols,,I love to shoot them, but getting old I will just use 2240 no pump required..Options are endless...
I clicked this and saw a guy aiming a pistol at targets with cars driving by behind it lol. Then I realized it was only a pellet gun and his angle wasn’t near the cars but at first I had a “oh shit” moment lmao 😂
I really love this gun but the only thing that makes me not buying it is that it dont have a magazine and i dont like the gravity ones that are 3 party.
The optic is a -UTG Reflex Micro Dot, the mount is a -Nc Star MAD3/8PS dovetail to picatiny adaptor and the grip is a-Hogue 17110 HandAll Grip Sleeve...the little piece of rail on the very back is just spare m-lok/pic rail portion that i glued to the top , I originally tried the optic back there but moved it up and just left the little rail portion on the back because I like the look.
It's just too good as a strait up pistol, I can't use it any other way. The standard 2240 is great with the stock and good on its own. The XL is great on its own.
After inheriting my father's gun collection I've gotten to play around with all kinds of different guns. Everything from ars to benchrest guns to silenced 22s.. Recently picked up a red Ryder bb gun and I'll be damned if that is what I shoot most. I leave it at my back door and just walk outside and ding pine cones.. Im looking to buy one of these to satisfy what I'm looking for. I love guns, really love guns. Airguns are so fun though man are they fun! Way funner than spending 200 dollars for a half day of shooting!!
Intriguing choice of backstop for your target range. It only takes one stable genius to ruin it for the rest, so why take such a silly risk? The genius part is that you then immortalize it by posting a video on RU-vid. 🤣
You need to get the Webley Nemesis and Diana Chaser, I have them in .177 and they are awesome and no need to add a steel breech and both have nicer triggers. I also shoot a Weirauch PW40 (the absolute best trigger), Beeman P17 and Crosman 1377, 1322, 2300s and like you just added the incredible 2240XL.
The Diana Chaser doesn't have the power as expected besides that the velocity in cooler weather is ridiculously low so basically ur paying for the name & the appearance definitely not the performance!
I liked and enjoyed. Right now, I own a .22 CROSMAN 2500 from the CROSMAN CUSTOM SHOP. I really love this gun! But you should know, airguns are like cats.......you can't have just ONE. I'm I probably going to buy Crosman a 2240 XL.
I have 5 2240 all but one is modified longer barrel Steel breach and stock also the one is 2300 pistol God bless brother I think if your modify I'm a little bit you'll enjoy them a whole lot more they hit harder after they've been modified a little bit enjoy
I recently acquired a 2240XL, and I also have a red dot sight on it. I just ordered a Buck-Rail suppressor to keep it quiet for indoor shooting. It's kinda loud inside, but outdoors not so much. I'm also waiting on my 1st .25cal airgun to arrive. It's the Hatsan Airtact that was on sale @Pyramydair for $89.99 with budget scope included. Not a magnum rifle, but it slings 25cal pellets with authority.
We have some random pieces of iron that work really good! Found an old water meter cover buried in the dirt near our house.. man that thing makes a hardcore SLAP sound!! Dayum!
@@hundopow3578I enjoyed your review and I agree whole heartedly with your sentiments about the 2240. Regarding Co2 guns, I was never satisfied with their derived power ( I own 16 PCP rifles and pistols and only a couple of CO2s). Last week I bought a Crossman 2240 (standard) from a private individual on Ebay. I didn't know what I was getting into. After making the purchase, I had misgivings. When the package arrived and I opened the box, I have to say right off, hefting the pistol in my hand, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of its build. It does not feel cheaply made. It feels ""American Made!" But what truly won my heart was the punch it had with a .22 pellet! END RESULT: A day hasn't passed where I haven't picked it up and tacked some targets. I can see now why it's such a long lasting and popular gun. BTW, I just ordered a GravMag 5 (specifically for the 2240 with a plastic breech) from James Thorogood in the U.K. That's not the end of it; I also put into Pyramyd Air to notify me when their stock of XL's is replenished. With all the variations and mods this gun is capable of, I'm going in for the long haul! I subscribed to your channel (with a bell!) . I'll be looking out for you. :)
@@jefbretschneider1607 the gravmag has been running smoothly thus far! Still early but I it's looking like a winner. I am testing a couple different pistols at the moment, one CO2 and one PCP, vids to come.
The XL and the Chaser are very different animals. In true pistol form... I take the XL all day, but if I'm throwing a shoulder stock on and making them into a mini carbine form... I'm taking the Chaser.
For me, regardless of what type of gun I'm shooting, if it's cold say sub 35 I'm not going out anyhow. But yea, noticeably different experience from a performance perspective on a co2. PCP's and Nitro Piston's seem to be unaffected for the most part.
Not yet but it's on my radar. I am building/customizing my standard 2240 model currently. I'll post a video when it's finished, I plan to try out the Gravmag on it.
Waiting on a gravmag to arrive along with a few other parts. I will make a video on the final result. I am skeptical when it comes to magazines for bolt action air guns, hoping for a pleasant surprise.
@Renegadebroadcasting Renegadebroadcasting There is the occasional problem where one substandard pellet, with a funky skirt, will jam the feed, but overall, they are few and far, and when there is a jam , it can easily be cleared, with no damage to the gun or magazine. I'm really quite pleased with its performance. (The inventor of the gravmag is out of the U.K. and he sells it online, totally legit!). I only wish for a larger mag hold. The 5 magazine model I own empties quite fast. ENJOY!!
the only time I have ever noticed any hiccups feeding pellets in on a day with high humidity, but even then its so few and far between I don't consider it an issue.
