Great job on the review Nate. Nice incorporating the artillery hold. Some people get a little better groups shooting off bags. And the Crosman premieres shoot as accurate but need to be sorted for weight and head size which is a huge pain. I wish Crosman still sold the .22 cal in cardboard box single lot.

I still use a Benjamin Nitro Piston .22 with the wood stock. It’s very accurate!

I know this is year-old video, but.... I knew the Crosman Magfire Ultra's 'up to' 975 fps ideal wouldn't happen but the suppression tech interested me. The velocities that Magfire Ultra get with standard 14.3gr lead Crosman 'Premier' pellets is typically 685-700fps. The best velocities were "H&N Baracuda Green" pellets @ 12.96gr, around 750fps. It's a 16ft-lbs rifle, shooting an average noise level of 75dB, which is quite respectable. What's hilariously cringe, however, is that there's a physical cylinder that fits into the end of the barrel on Crosman rifles with 'QuietFire' features, check it out at 4:40 . A rudimentary 3D printed assortment of plastic baffles that would be almost comedic in design had it been for a rifle that fired bullets. In a sense, this "behaves" like a suppressor, lowering the total dB output by about 5 dB. What does Canada do? They make it illegal. Canadian customers don't get this "quiet fire" tech ($4 of plastic). Crosman have to offer an entirely different design. Let me mention that within 5 mins of getting my Canadian gun license, I've been legally permitted to purchase a .338 Lapua or a .300 PRC and walk right out that door. As much ammo for same as I'd like. A sleeve of plastic designs on a plinker, however, is forbidden. Meanwhile, Jamaican gangs in Toronto are 3D printing Glocks like grandmas printing recipes from their inkjets. And people wonder why the Liberal gov't is losing voters...intelligent voters who WANT to vote Liberal but can no longer justify it. They assume everyone who doesn't want to disturb the neighbors, is suddenly in the clandestine services hunting Jason Bourne. I tried buying the Crosman Magfire Ultra anyway, but it's been out of stock @ Crosman Canada for 3+ months. In the meantime, the Gamo Swarm Magnum was released. I've heard more than enough stories about Gamo being unreliable to have it mean something - but the Gamo shot the exact same pellets an average of 250fps faster. Imagine that, a .22 cal ACTUALLY shooting pellets at 1000fps. Granted, it's 1/3 more expensive, but it's the king of break-barrels now. It's a 28.5 ft-lb rifle, but the true miracle of the Swarm is, it's shooting these at an even quieter 72 dBs. They don't have a $4 piece of plastic that takes a 5dB edge off I appreciate RU-vid reviews like this since I learn the things you don't find written on the box. I know the boxes for these airguns have to read like clickbait, promoting your product is how it's done - but someone's got to keep them honest. If any airgun manufacturer claims an 'up to' velocity of 975 fps with an alloy pellet, they should have to prove that velocity, if even once, on video, in their own ideal conditions, indoors, sea level, optimal humidity, whatever they ask for. If they managed to get even a single production Magfire 22 cal to reach 975fps, I'll eat a tin of pellets.

This is basicly the same stock as the Icon pcp but this one is better , the icon stock looks similar, same but no adjustments available.

Man I really like the design of these rifles, however all bad reviews say the magazines break very easily. Anybody have any thoughts on how to make them sturdier or someone that has possibly made a 3rd party version of the mags? Really want to buy one of these rifles.

Its got the looks of like a heavy-duty centre centrefire rifle like, ''Christensen Arms in .223', great firearm looks for an air rifle. I'm committed to buying one, It'll be definetly cheap enough in .22

Review was interesting but a bit confusing. Narrator called the gun being reviewed a "springer" which refers to an airgun's method of generating power ie spring piston. Crosman sells this airgun as powered by Nitro Piston Elite, meaning that there is no spring, instead a nitrogen filled cylinder provides the power.

Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. Centered vertically true to a plumb line with the crosshairs which is always a plus!It's a great ru-vid.comUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!

Weihrauch 95 air rifles do same hole at 25yards and shoots shotgun shell past 60yards. Of course quality and price are the difference.

Why do most of the,22 air rifles have less fps than the ,177? I got the 1,200fps Crosman F4 from Walmart for $100 and i think it's great

How does the scope hold up to the break barrel recoil?

So after creating this video, what do you think of this gun over all being what it is. I've seen videos made by young kids trashing the gun, because they can't his the object they're aiming for. Is it the gun, or the shooter? I know these guns aren't smooth and take some learning to hold and let the gun move.

What does it cost

Shame the rifle doesn't come with a tool to remove the baffles, you'd think they would add this to help with the maintenance of the rifle.

I got a 4x32 Centerpoint scope with my Crossman Fire .177 the scope is junk. I got a BSA 4x12x44AO IR its one of the best scopes Id ever used it was only $100.

Does a scope on a break barre air riffle have to be re zeroed in after several shots because of the recoil? I’ve heard people say the recoil is to much for a scope to handle and it gets thrown off after a while.

This is my first air rifle, since my town doesn't want me shooting squirrels with 5.56 rounds. This video was exactly what I needed to solidify that I made the right choice to have some fun in the back yard and probably use the rifle to teach my kid to shoot, when he's old enough. Great video!
