Many times, during multi legal entity implementation we come across requirement where customer would like to maintain the cross company shared data which will help them to maintain the integrity and consistency across all the legal entities.
In Microsoft dynamics 365 cross company data sharing helps us to achieve this requirement, it allows us:
-Create data across all legal entities
-Update or delete which will replicate in all shared legal entities.
-Control using defined policy at field level (What we would like to share)
This feature also has got some limitations, So watch this video for all the details

Have you tried using the vendor / vendor bank approval process and the cross company data sharing? Any recommendations?

I haven't try with workflow approval, i will try this but in that case i doubt it will work unless it goes for global approval

HI there, Thanks for the great explanation. In your example when sharing the customer group, I can see that the terms of payments selected in one entity does not copy to the other sharing entity. Is this standard behaviour? Can this be resolved? I am having the same issue. This means that I have 20 entities all sharing the customer groups, but the actual setup of the customer group is not shared. Similarly with Terms of payments, the terms are there but the actual setup is not shared... any idea how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Hi , there are few fields which cannot be shared using this feature like default financial dimensions. But customer group and terms of payment ( need to check this one) can be shared across entities. Only things is when. You are creating the setup for customer table make sure you also select these tables in setup

@@DynamicsClass Thank you, I managed to get it to work... its always a tick box somewhere ;) Cross company data sharing is not the most stable of forms. It appears that my selections to not always save/get enabled.

Find sharing issue button helps you to identify any mismatch during the sharing process run e.g. you shared data but there is some discrepancy like different customer groups,it will help in identifying the same

It was nice Video the feature allows us to centralize the master data across the legal entities, does this feature works for only master data or others like configuration, references ??

Hi sir good evening, we are creating new legal entities and using cross company data sharing functionality to copy vendor masters. We are facing an issue in updating vendors the error message is like " limit is crossed 2 million" so how we can increase limit.

Hi , so cross company data sharing has two concepts , one which you are using has limitations on number of records, you might need to validate new feature which is master company data sharing
