Thanks, a good leather sewing machine is a costly investment, but it saves me a lot of time. If I had the time to spend, hand stitching can actually be stronger and look nicer if it is done well.

Best looking cross draw holsters out there yet! Do you have this pattern for small frame revolvers like the S&W 642 or Taurus 856? Have you guessed what handguns I own? Nice work.

I am not currently set up to sell holsters online. Currently the local market for custom leatherwork is filling the time I have available. Since this video is meant to inspire others to make something similar feel free to share it with a leather worker in your area. They can be found by contacting leather supply stores and sometimes gun shops know a holster maker. There is also always the option of learning a new hobby and making your own. I know a lot of people who made holsters as their first leather project. A good holster can be made with much simpler tools than I used here.

what were you using to put the Resolene on with?

I use a scrap of sheep skin shearling. I trim the wool down to about a half inch. If you rinse it out right away it can be reused many times. I also thin the resolene with some water. I find it easier to get a good finish that way.

I draw my own patterns. Another option would be to buy a holster pattern pack and adapt the pattern to exactly what you want. I know Slickbald holster patterns has a pancake pattern pack. They are sold through Springfield leather company, Weaver leather, and I think I have seen them on Amazon. I don't believe it has a cross draw pattern. You would need to redraw where the belt slots are to make a holster like this one.
