that made me smile. just seeing the two doing what me and my friends do on the feild in our spare time and talking to each other like that was great. i hope adu makes the WC roster cause i still beleive he has the skills to change up the midfeild.
Gary Schurndlerdurgler relevant doesn't mean shit. Michael Bradley is relevant and he had no business starting for the USMNT. He fucked the team up. Everything is image and perception taking over reality.
Man reading these comments. These were the gems of the future so long ago that never really panned out. If you told me that our team would now be comprised of key players at Barcelona, Chelsea, Dortmund, Juventus, and Valencia I would say that you’re on crack. Like damn one of ours singlehandedly knocked out Atletico Madrid in the UCL quarterfinals in the last minute to advance. Now in a few days we will have a player on each team in the UCL final where one actually might start and will definitely have a major role. Im excited for 2022.
That would be extremely good for those two and US soccer as a whole. Those two playing together in the elite Ligue 1, developing good chemistry. They could be one dangerous tandem.
I am big fan of Brazil and the selection americana.Voce could tell me what happened to Danny Szetela? Nao speak English and so could informations that in 2011 he was preso.perdao my bad English, but asked that question by google translator. required
This is from Wikipedia regarding Mexico City's climate: Lowest temperatures, usually registered during January and February, may reach -2 to -5°C (28 to 23°F) About the same time Mexico and U.S. played in Columbus.
He's been in America since he was 6years old. He considers himself 100% American, that was he said on FIFA youth fox show back in 2003 during sub-14 gameplay. That's a true American! MAd props for him and Jozy last night! What a GOAL from ADU last night! Brilliant!
@Chitownboy1023 what nepotism got him signed by Aston Villa? And he always performs amazing in the U.S. Jersey scored a crucial goal at the world cup. He's a strong defensive midfielder who can help out the attack when needed. What don't you like about him?
I do agree, to an extent. Bob Bradley is known for pushing young players into tough, competitive, situations to create the next generation of soccer. He's doing it with his son, Michael, and with Altidore. I know this sounds passive, but if Adu wasn't played, I trust Bob Bradley had a reason.
lol nooo he really is playing quite well at Chievo Verona in Italy right now. He's earned himself a regular starting spot, and scored his first goal in Serie A like last week or something.
@TecnicaXina and don't get me wrong. I'm an Adu and hopes he succeeds. I just think all the loan deals Benfica arranged for him have been ill conceived, particularly his time at Monaco. They appeared more concern with reducing their wage bill as opposed to ensuring he got the best possible loan experience.
They are the future of US soccer, but I like Bradley better, powerful shot, good cross, nice pass, great vision, and spectacular body balance. Could be one of the best defensive midfielder within the next 10years. Go Bradley!
Michael has done awesome for the USMNT while he's been in. He is a great battler and reader of the game. You'll rarely see him give away possession and he makes tackles all over the place. Sal Zizzo is decent at best. Michael has been playing regularly for Hamburg, a pretty good German side. I realize he is the coaches son, but he deserves to be in the team for sure.
No, it's the ambience. The U.S. plays in a different field almost every time it plays here. But reverting back to my previous point, the fact that the U.S. (when playing at home against Mexico) is psyched that it has home field advantage, coupled with the fact that the crowd is like 70%-80% against them, balances the scale and (in my opinion) creates a neutral atmosphere.
Omg, where does Freddy plays? Couple of years I heard of him, being a big talent. But where is he now? Bradley is good ^^, imo Ajax had to contract him...
4 years ago he wasn't ready, he was a walking yellow every match. A year ago he was still a bit timid, didn't want that spot. A year in Chievo, a relegation prospect EVERY year in Serie A, and they are solid mid-table now. You can see it in his game now. And still he will out hustle anyone in the middle of the pitch, he always had that
I know everybody is gonna disagree with me, but this could be fake in my opinion. It's really easy to edit something like this. You don't even see him hit the ball. And the camera cuts again at 0:35. Easy. I'm not saying this isn't real, I'm just saying I could have made a vid like this.
@PoetWhittier Freddy Adu simply has a contract with S.L.Benfica (aka the club with most paying supporters in the world - Guinness Book Record in fact). It's not certain he'll get a place in the squad, but he's a young promisse of the club.
If the USA had played Mexico in Mexico on March 1st instead of in Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH, then the game would have been held in the Azteca, and the temperature would have been virtually identical.
@PoetWhittier Gotta agree on that...But i believe Benfica has good future plans for him. Because normally Benfica simply sells the players that have no chance on the squad. So for Benfica to reject some offers of buying him, and only loaning him, means to me that this kid may be a key player in the club's future. I personally am a big fan of him. He only had like 3/4 chances in Benfica and made the most of most of them (i think i scored 3 times in that short amount of time for example). Go ADU!
okay im sorry i only know about amercia of tv... but soccer isnt that promoted in U.s right?? maybe that the problem in holland first what you will hear at the sport news is about soccer
@slnakm This is Michael Bradley and Freddy Adu we're talking about, neither of them will ever make US fans happy for whatever real or imagined reasons there might be.
actually it means you are good on kicks, the reason why you hit it a lot is because you see the crossbar and you concentrate on it, you dont really concentrate on making a goal, so next time, try to focus on the angle 90 or bellow the crossbar in middle, and see what happens, im sure u will make it, good luck
I'm utterly amazed that in 2012 anyone is still debating whether or not Michael Bradley should be in the 11 every time we suit it up. Make that suggestion to Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan or Howard that Bradley is not starting material, and they'd laugh in your face and point out that you probably don't know very much about anything.
I guess if that's all you have to celebrate in your life, then enjoy. Personally, I have a lot more than a football match from 3 years ago to be happy about, but that's just me.
