We put the cheapest crossbow we could buy in Cabela's which was the Center Point Sniper XT390 to the test up against the Ravin R10. In this video we shot both the Ravin and the Center Point at 30 yards and 50 yards. We did a decibel reading on both as well as included comparison specs on both. We were incredibly shocked with how the Center Point performed. We hope you enjoy!

Damon bro, you are good with that crossbow. I'm a 73 yr old combat vet, of the 101st Airborne infantry, TH Jan '68 to nov'69. I am still extremely good with rifle, shotgun, handgun, I just bought my first crossbow, I chose a counterpoint 370, assembled it, it has a scope, not real good but ok. I have a laser sight on my sig. I'm a novice with a crossbow, so I'm watching you guys who are experienced with them so I can learn and understand them better before I go out and start shooting. I have reasons I won't go into here for buying a crossbow. Thanks for your video!!

Come on dude, do you weren’t bias😳You kept complaining about the noise when you wind it the cocking system how loud it was, but you didn’t mention that there’s a button that makes it silent… my raven kicks ass,More comfortable shooting distance with this crossbow than anyone that I’ve had in my any of my other crossbows

That’s bull dude… he pointed out real issues, and the button that you say makes it silent is y to be decock button that allows the wrench to free spin, it’s not made to be quiet! M4 did an honest review, he didn’t bash the Ravin, he simply said the CP so just as accurate and easy to use as a $1000 higher weapon!

For a supposed unbiased review it seemed pretty biased towards the Centerpoint, I have owned both and am amazed that you would say you prefer the trigger on the Centerpoint. I got rid of my Centerpoint because it had the worst trigger of any weapon I ever owned. Also at 30yds I would never shoot twice at the same spot with my Ravin and even at 50yds I can't shoot at the same spot without destroying my bolts. Your 50yd group with the Ravin was terrible! Not at all an example of what the Ravin is capable of. My Ravin R10 shoots 2 inch groups at 100yds. Yes you can kill Deer with the Centerpoint for a lot less money, but the Ravin is a far superior weapon!

Now you sound bias toward the ravin. I think his point is, at the cost verse value that the centerpoint is a better choice. I would NEVER pay 1000 dollars for a crossbow period... i could buy multiple rifles for that! I think ravin is is for those who are about perception not value.

@@adamwilliams3247 I am biased towards the Ravin. I HAVE OWNED BOTH. The Centerpoint had the worst trigger I ever used! The Ravin trigger is sweet! And is amazingly accurate! And I will repeat: Yes you can kill Deer with the Centerpoint for a lot less money, but the Ravin is a far superior weapon!

Some kids prefer bologna sandwiches compared to steak because that’s what there used to and they don’t know any better. It takes more experience and maturity as a xbow shooter to see and understand the difference. If you’re an experienced crossbow shooter, you will start to appreciate higher quality bows. These 2 are not in the same class. Also, the smoothness and handling are a factor too, along with durability. That being said, the CP is a good bow at a discount price and can kill a lot of deer. There’s nothing wrong with it. Enjoy it!

A tip for you: Your rope coker rope is way too long on the centerpoint, shorten it to the point that the handles are up against the hooks and the bow string is slightly pulled back when the rope cocker is on the string, that does 2 things, it makes the bow MUCH easier to pull back because you are not pulling the handles all the way up by your ears, and it allows the rope cocker to stay tight on the bow and ready to pull back at any time, it is also convenient when carrying the bow out to the woods, the rope coocker is tight on the bow and ready to pull back.

To quietly cock the ravin, push the decocking button while cranking until the clutch on the crank disengages

I bought a cp sniper 390 this year as my first crossbow. A few weeks later I shot my first deer with a crossbow. I enjoy the crossbow. It’s a great value for the price point.

I prefer the rail on a CP. I would buy a CP at that price. I would buy a Ten Point or Mission for the Ravin price.

I’m happy with my bear saga 425, it shoots great group at 50, friend of mine has a ravin and was no near my group at 50, I want to buy another crossbow and thinking about the center point

Great video. I just picked up a CP Dagger 390 which is pretty much the same as the SniperXT390. Makes me feel great and more confidant in a bow most folks starting off can afford. Thanks.

Good review, I have both crossbows as well, my R10 at 60 yards 3 shots group is the size of a golf ball. Maybe timing is off , on that one. That's the worst group, that I'd ever seen, from a Ravin,

All I can say that the crossbows you have there or daylight and dark compared you got a all Chinese Centerpoint crossbow compared to an American-made Raven The Raven May cost more money but hands-down it is the best crossbow out of the two that dude also has the best trigger

I have been using my cp 370 for 2 years now and it has been extremely reliable I am comfortableout to about50 yardswith it. My buddy has the raven and it is pretty dang solid out to at least 80 yards.

Would love to have a center point sniper. Own a Barnett whitetail hunter str and love it but think the center point might be better. You can send me the center point that would be great I'll take the cheap one. Lol
