Jake Platt of Northwest CrossFit in Seattle, Washington, talks about how his box has grown and changed since 2007.
"I'm a big believer in not leveraging the business in any way," Platt says. "Always build as you grow. I've seen people go out and get loans, borrow money and stuff like that. I've always found that gets you in trouble."
"I've always said that it's really easy to build your gym to about 100 to 150 members. But once you have to have a staff and plan for the future, you have to make sure that your management system and all your processes are dead on."
