Crosshair "lights out" the Clone Commando | Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 Ep 3 

Commandos don''t have shielded armor in canon. We seem them get clapped quite a bit throughout the Bad Batch and not once do we see shields.

@@craftergaming392 Cool? You are also ignoring all the other commandos that get their cheeks clapped by getting punched or shot once or twice. The Wookiepedia also has zero mention of any shields in canon.

Becouse the best combat helmet in the GAR shouldn't offer protection against blunt force trauma should it? Also in canon they dont have shields, at least they go down with 1 shot.

There is nothing genius happening here. There is only a baby show for babies. If you think that Dave Filoni was sitting there saying, "and crosshair knows they have no shields..." he was not. But that's not even the main issue. The issue is that allowing the threat to be so easily disabled by our heroes completely undermines any stakes whatsoever. The commandos are presented as this elite threat we're supposed to see and feel fear for our heroes, but they can just be... knocked out by a shaky prisoner? So now when I see them I'm not engaged in the media, I'm not thinking, "How will they escape?!" I'm thinking, this is a baby show for babies and the good guys will simply escape in a PG fashion because the writers said so. It's bullshit, my friend.

Somehow they always go down with 1 shot (exept heroes like Scorch of course, but regular commandos were killed by 1 shot in s1 finale)

i mean considering that canonically any human with similar height to the clones can don their armor its not entirely far fetched to say these are just specially trained TK troopers with commando armor. with some of the veteran clones either being retired, sent to specialized duties or being experimented on, this seems like a good way to use up remaining commando armors

When he instructed the TK troopers he was clearly voiced by Dee Bradley Baker

That Commando spoke earlier on in the episode, and it was DBB's voice. He's a clone. It's just a production inconsistency.

They reuse a lot of the voices for when people are shot or hit. The most common one in BB is when people are thrown off stuff and they scream

Crosshair is a clone commando too, a genetically enhanced one at that. Very good chance he could have taken him out.

My brother in christ, have you seen footballers? Even with those _chonky_ helmets they can easily get the shit knocked out of their brains from blunt force trauma. It's basic physics: more force -> travels faster through objects that are not squishy/are hard -> all of that energy from a hit goes to their brain. Same concept applies to commandos.

Light tap? Ah yes, highly trained soldier bred for war smashes head against rock is a light tap. (I get what your saying but doesn't apply to this scene as much)

@@the_canadianreaper wasn’t a smash though, he pushed sideways which is mechanically very weak, you can even see in the scene how “slow” it is relative to what causes actual KOs. If you’ve stood up too fast and bumped your head before, you’ve probably were hit with a similar amount of force. Also, and obviously this is overanalyzing, but it’s primarily shear (twisting) that causes unconsciousness, not a linear strike. That’s why in combat sports most knockout blows target the chin, where you can cause significant rotational force to the brain stem.

@@Tarooo89 true, but also to be fair trying to make animations look impactful isn't easy. ignorance and lack of knowledge is a factor too.

@bend7726 I will, along with many other people, as this franchise continues to become shallower and less intelligent. How is that an ideal solution though? The Clone Wars used to be way more adult and mature and intelligent and lately it's PURELY for kids. The best kids shows manage to be for everyone. ATLA is timeless, and much of the earlier Clone Wars stuff is, too. And it sucks that lately it's not managing to accomplish that. It's just shallower and weaker and it has much less of an edge, so people are dropping off of the franchise. So sure, we'll just dip, and the franchise will be less than it should be. Great.

The clone wars also had some terrible episodes and decisions. For example the really...REALLY...annoying plot armor. The C-3PO goes shopping episode, Grievous. The Bad Batch didn't start this trend. Also, Crosshair is a trained commando as well. The Bad Batch got Commando training
