It is the buoyancy of the vehicle that is bit problem, open the doors and get the water inside to weigh it down. Lower tyre pressures would provide more grip though
This was always a ridiculous endeavour. It would have been much better to have waited an hour or two to see if the flow slowed. Was it even possible? 10psi in the tyres and good tyres as well. Crack the doors to flood the passenger compartment to reduce the buoyancy. Point the nose of the Land Cruiser slightly towards the flow. Second gear low range and don't stop. (You can see the vehicle skew every time the brake lights come on.) Even then you would have to have a top driver and a bucket full of luck. They had neither. Oh yes, make sure your front hubs are locked as well.
To be honest, it is not a laughing matter. It's sad to see people lose their lives just like that. Think twice before you do anything. Something like this can be avoided.
An we're very busy blaming government surely...the driver and all the passengers shoul;d be arrested and charged for attempted suicide and causing malicious damage to property...the Land Cruiser😀
May ALLAH the almighty keep all of us safe from facing such situations. Aameen. Some of the Passengers might have been impatient, and others might have been blamed for being coward. There is a difference between being careful and being stupid.
